Good answer to the atrocious NOK game Saturday night. Beating Dallas later this week would be really sweet! :D

Hopefully, after today, next time JVG would think of VSpan when Rafer is not available...

Very impressive game for the Rockets. Juwan really set the tone in the second quarter until TMac heated up in the third. I really like how they got out on the break and kept their turnovers down. This was a solid, professional beat-down by the Rockets.

Now you're just being one-sided. Lucas went 2-4 and 1-2 from the arc and he can't hit a damn thing. Novak had only one attempt, yet Vspan misses as many shots as both of them combined. Be glad that none of the 3 did anything extremely negative to have Van Gundy lose faith in them.

Vspan can defense, can penetrade, can assit, can draw fouls. But the most important thing is he should improve his open shot. His free throw is good.

I can't wait to see the post game press conference, I thought the bench did well tonight.....not in scoring necessarily but they ran the offense the way it was supposed to be run.

Rafer had a quiet but solid night tonight, as did Juwan and T-mac. All the starters played their roles to perfection, and Luther more than made up for his bad shooting from the NO game. This team is functioning like a smooth and well-oiled machine right now.

All those are indicative of good potential. He just need to develop those skills and sharpen his shots. Hopefully he can get some minutes at the point.

He was initiating a lot of the offense late tonight....from the 2 guard spot....and if his teamates could shoot their wide open shots he would have had 4 or 5 assists instead of just one.

    And ZERO turnovers again.....

His only blemish....0-3 shooting, and one of those was a last second attempt that was blocked.

I think with Bonzi out V-Span may get a few minutes....maybe.

ok fine, they could hit a damn thing. just not the open shots which billy created. sucks for billy, that's all.

of course gundy is smart enough to see past the stats, so it's all a moot point anyway.

How did I know when I clicked on the game thread that, win or lose, it's ALL spanoulis, all the time.

Maybe you guys should set up your own website?

But it looks like JVG does not like his frequent explosive drive to the paint, although Span knows how to pass the ball out or draw a foul.

V-Span looked good out there. 0-3 is not bad and you can tell he's really holding back. It's good that he had his mind made up though, when he was driving, he drove hard.

And he didn't set up his teamates half bad, that's a good quality to have on this team.

His penetration got his team some open looks, I hope Van Gundy takes note of this. Hopefully Billy keeps his mouth shut and just works at it. He will be good one day.

    Too bad Novak missed. :(

AND WHAT ABOUT THAT PUT BACK DUNK BY MCGRADY? Damn that was so nice.

No passive, complacent, settling McGrady showed up tonight.

    Props to Juwan too.

Oh and I forgot to say, Rafer played much better tonight. Less outside shots, good penetration and he finished well.

Good shot selection, great game overall by the team.

Rafer's layup where he switched hands was TOO pretty.

What is going on with Snyder. He was not even on the bench. Is this his turn to have an issue with JGV. It seems like every week is somebody new having some issue or not in the same page with the grumpy.

You know who looked pretty bad tonight? Padgett.....what happened to his shot?

He used to be at least a decent shooter....

Overall, I thought the team looked great....Rafer ran the team well and kept his shot attempts down......Tmac looked FANTASTIC......especially that put back dunk...WOWZA !!!

And J-Ho......he certainly rebounded from a poor shooting game.....I think J-Ho is taking shots away from Rafer....and that is not a good thing....it is a GREAT thing.

The only real negative is the injury to Bonzi.....I hope he does not miss too many games.

I guess Snyder is on trade list, JVG's system always runs like that, no play for several weeks and be traded soon.

I can't help but wondering if team USA didn't lose to Greece at the WC, would V-Span play better basketball today?
