Rockets Get Good News on a Bad Night

    MARK BERMAN
    Sports Director
HOUSTON - The Houston Rockets remain winless at 0-5 after losing to the Spurs Saturday night in San Antonio 124-121 in overtime, but get good news on point guard Aaron Brooks who was injured.

Brooks suffered a sprained ankle at the end of the first half.

According to Rockets spokesman Nelson Luis X-rays revealed a sprained left ankle and Brooks will be re-evaluated Sunday.

That's big news for the Rockets because the exam didn't show aything beyond that.

It would be a stretch to think Brooks would get back on the floor in time for Sunday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Toyota Center.

However, Yao Ming will play. He did not suit up against the Spurs which means he is available for the game against Minnesota."

He was taped up ready to go back in at the end of the game but Adelman stuck with the team he had on the floor. I assume he should be ready to go unless his ankle swells up big time when he wakes up today.

If the Rockets lose to the T-puppies I might not leave the house out of shame.

Martin is going in for X-rays. We will find out soon, if it's anything serious.

Don't worry, we won't force you to become a hermit. Tell me something, Sishir, do the Puppy Lovers up there celebrate when one of their starters goes down wih an awful looking injury, or is that some bizarre fetish perpetuated by a small clique of mondo-sadists inhabiting ClutchFans?

I don't think there are enough T-Wolves fans left to care about such things.

The Rockets will win this game. They showed better cohesion and a greater sense of purpose in last night's game against one of the best teams in the West.

Yao goes off for his first 20 point game, Lee makes up for last night, Ish gets 10 assists.

    We win big.

This will be a disaster if we lose.

I don't think we will, but regardless, someone will be the BBS' whipping child.
