we can lose 8 more games this was one MAGIC NUMBER IS SEVEN. Im out ricky davis and his crazy shots like the one when dwes stole it that and some freethrows were factors that didnt go our way and we lose by three.

Stro's nickname is probably still going to be "PinkEye", but he put up a good performance.

Juwan needs to stock up on TheraFlu and get back on the hardwood, toute de suite.

To all those JVG haters.....I think tonight he proved he is an excellent coach. We lost the game but the way he reacted to Ricky Davis and that last play were excellent coaching decisions..... If we want to get to the post season we can't drop much more like this one though

Stromiles last ten games for the rox have been very productive, I liked his passion out there tonight. Chuck Hayes also had another respectable game.
We just put ourselves in to big a hole in the first and second quarters.

Very disappointing loss. The lack of a big young SG really showed tonight.

With all that's happened this year to our team, they were going to play a struggling Minnesota team but the way our season has gone wouldn't you know it, Minnesota makes a blockbuster trade the day before and they come in to play the Rockets as a better looking team because of the trade and the gods lick us again by giving Juwan Howard the flu. We really missed his scoring in that drought in the first half and for most of the third quarter.

I loved Chuck Hayes hustle and heartfelt play out there but he missed some gimmies late in the fourth that he probably would not miss again.

I don't know what else to say other than it's just not our year.

The Wolves looked like the "little sisters of the poor" against the Grizzlies; they looked like the Showtime Lakers against the Rockets! Of course, it wasn't the same team.

Now, fellow posters, please explain to me why it takes months (or years) for new players to come to the Rockets and ADJUST, but on any other team they can get off the bus, unpack, and score 26 points?! Seven player trade, and the Wolves look like they have been playing together for years.

Brace yourself for the Grizzlies on the road, the squeamish should not watch. And wave "bye bye" to the playoffs. If the Rockets can't win a game on their homecourt against a team of players who have barely met each other, it is hard to be optimistic. I am disqusted. And to boot, my favorite new player (who looked great tonight, again) might be a rapist! :(

Bad loss. Bad shooting by everyone except Stro and Chuck. Rafer had too many turnovers and lack of size in backcourt was exposed tonight.

Every damn shot Rafer takes is open and he stills manages to shot below 50%.

This game is all about matchups. Everybody knows that. A team can beat the best one night and look like crap against the worst team the next. I don't care what you or anyone else says about not making excuses but we just couldn't overcome Howard's abscence tonight with Yao already out. We almost pulled it off with our two starting big men out against a more stacked Minnesota team who looks to be a better team with Ricky Davis and Blount. They fought hard, we just didn't have enough firepower out there and it really showed early on in the game.

Very tough loss to swallow, even though it was another great effort by this team. They came up with the big defensive stops when needed, just couldn't quite put it together at the right time on offense.

I'll tell you this, if we have Howard and Yao, or either one of them for that matter, we take this one easily. The main reason we lost was the complete lack of a post presence...we went on a drought in the 2nd/3rd quarters with no steady big man to rely on. Swift and Hayes both played nice games, but neither is a guy you just dump it down to and let go to work...both of them have to be setup most of the time.

Some have brought up Tracy's poor shooting at home, and I really saw it tonight...I really don't think he's as comfortable shooting from the outside here. He was deferring a lot, especially in the 3rd quarter...shots that I thought he normally would've taken. Fortunately the guys he was finding made plays to keep us in the game.

I still feel like this team is going to explode once we get healthy...combine the toughness we've had with the talent of our healthy team and see what we've got. If Sura ever gets back that would really add a missing dimension to this team.

You have no idea how much I want to believe this, but, I don't. If the Rockets win 75% of their remaining games (highly unlikely, but possible) they would still only post 45 wins, maybe enough for a low seed. This seems improbable. It is really an issue of too many missing parts. And, these numbers get worse with every loss.

LOL, you know you are making execues.

You have to face the reality after all: this Rox team is not that good.

I hope they get better next year. As I said before, I am willing to give JVG one more year.
