this is in fact the reality.. RS is underrated, becasue playoffs come and go only once in a while, while RS games is every night, they are crucial...they make or break the fans life

fwiw: that shot is from Jan 19th, last year, right in the middle of his worst shooting month. Then the story is that Lucas fixed it by working on being more fluid…and starting Feb 2nd, he finished the season shooting 39.3%.
Maybe he has an issue with getting lazy with mechanics and, of course, attempting difficult 3s.

But, here’s his release from yesterday,

Definitely looks better than the photo from last year. Though his shot is still what I would consider a bit unorthodox, with his guide hand on top of the ball instead of to the side of it, I think it's something he can work with and keep polishing.

I don't think his shot is ugly, just different. And when it's going in it looks smooth as silk

I think some of his shots were lucky tonight. Some of them were good ones too.

Some of those contested middies were "no no no no yessss" shots for me.

I have noticed that since Jalen seems to have bought into the Sengun-initiated offense he is getting lots of easier shots too, though. And he's hitting them, like you said.

That is encouraging. He has a super high release so the more compact his action can be the better.

Jalen's been one of the streakiest Rockets I can remember and I hope he unlocks the secret to staying on the hot streaks

Sometimes I wonder if you even watch the game with nonsense like this.

Just because Wolves scored more this game it means we played worse D? With 1 minute left in the game they only scored 100 points. That’s a more accurate indicator of how many points they scored.

They managed to get to 114 because they took some quick and desperate shots and made them in the last minute. Plus Rox didn’t want to play tight defense to risk giving them And 1’s. But the game was never really in danger.

If you can’t tell the Rox played better defense last night, I really don’t know what to tell you.

Agreed but he needs to be less hesitant to hit Sengun with passes when he is wide open. Sengun has demonstrated that he is unselfish and will give the ball to whoever is in the best position to score including Green. Hopefully, it is just confidence on the interior passing and not selfishness. We will see.

lol……what you said was there was some “narrative” that our defense was better last night compared to Saturday and you found it to be bullshit because the raw number of points given up in both games was almost identical. Wrong.

If you want to make some point about offensive efficiency with and without KPJ you are free to do so.

This is accurate. We played better D last night than in awhile. We allowed them to score at the end because it was out of reach.

It makes sense he will be one of the streakiest rockers ever. We never handed a guard this young with this much usage in our franchise history. Young guards are naturally more streaky than young bigs.
