this second half has me nervous. sure we played good D, but the wolves freakin' missed 17 of 18 shots at one point. the law of averages says they'll make up for it somewhere. but i guess a 19 point lead is good to have while minnesota is making up for it.

 

Good half all around. Mobley was the only one that had a bad half but even so he played well. Just lay off the jumpers when there's a man in your face, and cut back on the turnovers. Francis played well again but I wish he would stay composed in the closing minute, and not get caught up in the mental game. What I really like from Francis is, his midrange jumper looks great. When his jumper is on and he doesn't force them it really opens up the offense. And Yao's been the backbone on the defense. Contested shots, blocked shots, I believe atleast one steal, grabbing boards, and as usual the high % shots. Best of all, he's not making blatant stupid fouls, but hasn't lessened on his defensive intensity. If only his conditioning was a bit better then he'd play that well every game, and every half. Lastly, JVG is outcoaching the Wolves staff. He's pulled a trick out of the championship runs of the Rockets in the Phoenix series'. Have KJ burn ya, but limit how productive the rest of the teammates are. I think JVG is ok with having one of the Wolves big 3 putting up big numbers as long as he reinforces the other two with hard nosed defense. Man I really hope they can keep it up at the half. A cousin of mine who's a Spurs fan called when I was watching the game and was talking trash about the Rockets, and I wanted to gloat so bad about how the T-Wolves the Spurs lost to last are losing by 23 (at the time they were ), and the Rockets are doing great. I didn't though just because there's another half to be played, and who knows what could happen. From the looks of it though, the Rockets should win handily

 

Sam really is heating up. The first jumper was amazing because he was so tightly guarded but on his last 2 shots he got enough space to make them easily. I liked it when Yao blocked him in the end but we are not passing the ball well enough.
We have to execute on offense and keep stopping them.
The Rockets must attack after the break or else the Wolves will comeback and might win.

 

Can't wait to see how Rockets play with old Mark Jackson

Don't know, but it wasn't even the lowest scoring half by a team in a houston game. Anyone remember the 30-25 spurs/rox game?
