Mobley didn't intend to ignore Yao! He had his back turned against his defender near the half court. There was no way he could have seen Yao under the basket that way.

The offense was pretty good... but what's so impressive was the D. I have never seen better D than that 1st half! If not for the late 8pts explosion by Cassell in the last 2mins of the half, I don't think the wolves would scored more than 20 pts for the half.

Assist totals for he Cat since the Pistons game. Not bad for arguable the worst passer on the team.

Did anybody see the bruises on Yao's arm on TV? Without Doc River pointed it out and without Yao complaining we couldn't possibly know the kind of attack on Yao behind the camera.

Do you guys think the two air balls by Yao from long range is a result of the pain on Yao's arm? 'Cause I never saw Yao fire an airball ever?

He shot an airball in the Boston game as well. Not that he really needs to jump to get enough force to shoot those 20 footers, but I do think fatigue is a factor. Fatigue not only effects you physically but messes with your concentration as well. I think those airballs were more because of lack of concentration from fatigue then lacking the physical ability to shoot them consistently.

I read on Sina.com that Mobley and Francis bought Norris a plane ticket from LaGuardia and together they attacked Yao Ming in hte conservatory with a lead pipe, thus resulting in the bruises, because he has been scoring too much lately.

Amazing. The Rockets blow out Minnesota and you have people during and after the game whining about trading Steve Francis and ripping Mobley.

I can't understand people constantly complaining about Francis and Mobley the last few games.. Francis ran several low post plays for Ming, one that resulted eventually in a Cato lob, and while Mobley constantly communicates with Yao working with him. Outside of the players missing Yao open under the basket, the offense was fine. People just want something to complain about. The Rockets are beating Minnesota by 30, they're #6 in the West, and only a half game back for #5, and about 2 games back for #4, and are 3.5 games out of first in the Midwest, and people are still complaining that Yao isn't getting the ball, Mobley is garbage, and Francis is a cancer. Just enjoy the game.

What's our record since we traded Ameachi now. Damn CD....

    What about when Wilks plays?

We are now 1-0 when MJ doesn't play.

People should stop blaming Francis and Mobley now. They are a good pair in the back court. They are better than a lot of other teams backcourt.

I remember a while ago talking about who was no consistent, Yao or Cat. I posted that Yao was much more consistent. I still think it was thue that Yao was more consistent at about 20 games into the season. But Cat became more consistent in the next 10 games because of Yao's low point in the few game prior to the past 3 games. Will Yao become more consistent? We will wait and see. But Cat is more consistent than Yao up to now.

So stop b#^@&ing about Yao's not getting the ball. The team is doing the right thing and that is why the Rox are winning.

    rvpals,

Seemed to me it was Yao hitting his "funny bone" when he spun. No big deal.

Are you kidding? There is a long way to go yet and plenty of room for a complaint or two, especially about Francis and how he suddenly changes from the Team Game into the Iso Game for his own Showtime. Even so it was a great victory for the Rockets bring on the next one.... :)

There were 13 TO's in the second half, and they let Wolves to cut the lead from 30 to 12. Had it been a closer game, the outcome could have been different. Can we ask for a 48-minutes complete game? OK, your shots fall in one quarter and not in anouther and scores swing back and forth. But I just don't like to see 3 TO's in a row, and that can be avoided.

I didn't see a lot of Rockets games this season, but I did watch all the games on the national TV.

    Here is my observations:

    1. This game is the best one that yao plays so far (among what I have watched). He seems to be comfortable and confident. He has a lot of weapons and influences on both ends of court.
I think the greatest strength of Yao is not low post play, it will never be. Instead, it will be his "versetality". Whenever he finds out the best balance of low post and high post play, and the timing of the transition, he will be great.

    2. There are a lot of complaints of yao's being ignored by his teammates, especially two guards. It is not a totally false statement. There are some occasions that yao positions well and calls for ball, but no one passed.

    3. There are a couple of great passes by steve. He seems to be very good at ally-oop pass. Imo, it shows he does have the ability of passing. Hopefully he can keep improving.

    4. Cat forced too many shots. At least in this game, he made some really stupid plays.

    5. Really good defense play. And as mentioned above, I saw JVG smiling. What a surprise!

    Keep rolling, Rockets.

I hope that we can see a win streak more than 5. I havn't seen it in two years. (Am I right?)

    Reason with your mind!

We don't need this kind of sarcasticism here! It's not well meant and not based on fact.

It's a laughing stock for most of the people that I know that Cat cannot get that ball to a so open Yao. If you watch the tv, you will hear the commentators talking about it in an amusing way.

So what's your point here? Yao was so open for so long and anybody can make that pass. What the hell are you trying to tell the people here with you ill sarcasticism? Just to get people irritated? To reveal your stupidity? Stubboness? Blindness? or what?

Next time, if you want to defend something, prove it with a fact.

    ROTFL!!!! [IMG]

    superpro -> [IMG] (Occupation: YOF)

P.S. I hope you realize that the commentators have these nice cushy seats on press-row, with this great big view of the whole court. Mobley? Oh, he's just got TWO defenders wrapping their arms around him! Maybe Mobley should have used his X-RAY VISION...sigh...
