If somebody caught a photo of Mobely with his back turned, while Yao is wide-open under the basket... that could just about capture our first half of the season in a nutshell.

But... I have a funny feeling that this team has turned some sort of corner since losing to Boston.

I thought they may have after the Lakers win, but that heartbreaking loss to Denver (in which Houston still played great) the following night reverted them back to their non-confident play.

Now, these last three wins have been huge, not just becasue who they were playing, but because of THE WAY they got them... all by tough defense, and solid offensive execution.

The game on Monday will be another test... on the road against a Memphis team they CAN beat. As long as they stick to fundamental high-energy basketball, they'll be fine in the long run.

When he was standing there, the ball wasn't even in the other half of the court, then he stood there for like 5 secx, he was lucky we didnt get called for a 3 sec violation, which we would have had it been passed to yao..

Like it or not, that is truth. He is the cancer. His style can make occasional great plays but not carrying the whole team to the playoff.

everybody was scrambling on the Rockets because the T-wolves were pressing... I don't blame them... I think there was a huge simultaneous "AAAAHHHH" and pointing at Yao on the telly by everyone at home.

Uh had they passed it to him, the 3-second would have reset. When one receives the ball in the paint, the three-second in the lane rule resets to zero.

Total and utter Domination by our Rocks.......The Wolves were never in this game ever..........

Beautiful game......not gonna jinx the season and say we've turned the corner......but these last few games have been extremely uplifting

Plus we proved it against a quality team today.......not the Wizards

    Bottom line I'm impressed.......

I meant had the attention turned towards YAO, everybody had their eyes on the pileup nea half court on that play, no one was payin any attention to YAO, not even the refs, had they been in the act of getting it to him, the ref would have called the 3 sec violation

Seems to me if Rocks lead at half they almost always
    win this season.

right on bra. Its starting to feel like ole times again where you expect them to win every game. This defense is going to shatter alot of records this year. And this the Rockets, what, 4th game they scored at least 90pts.

And Yao, Cato, and Taylor...these guys are transforming right before our eyes.. I don't think theres a better frontline trio in the league.

Hopefully this is a sign of something good to come.

I still like mobley coming off the bench. I wish nachbar will eventually be good enough to start.. and move jj to the 2.
But mobley does bring more good than bad.. it is just that the bads are usually just bonehead plays. So it's a pain to watch.

Steve looks like he is starting to get it... but it is obvious it takes a lot of efforts for him to play the new way... so whenever under pressure, he starts to become the steve of old.

You are so wrong. first, the ball was in front court. second, Yao got out of the paint once to avoid 3-second call and then enter the paint again and stand there alone for another 2 seconds. I think it was Cat holding the ball with his back to the basket, so he couldn't see Yao, but the rest of the team could have pointed it out.

A great win, but it exposed some of our old problems again. One is we have to play smart all 48 minutes. When we had the lead, we committed way too many TO's in the second half, and Yao was ignored again and again. KG was guarding Yao 1-on-1 most of the time, and Yao got pretty good position but only got the ball occasionally in the second half. Another problem is our trouble with backcourt pressure. This shouldn't even be a problem! JVG got to do something about it.

I heard him a few times on TV. He sounds like he's 15 years old...what's up with that?

It's just a little play on words and not meant to be offensive at all.
