Bonzi didn't play, and T-Mac has been out. Plus we were leading 65-33 at halftime and had like a 30 point lead throughout, thats why the back of the bench got to play.

Well, during the game, Clyde said, almost word for word "The Rockets have been playing well, but they will need McGrady for tougher teams. McGrady is a great player, and he knows he needs to come back and adjust to the way the team is playing, like great players do." It may not be his exact words, but in a nutshell, that's what he said.

Landry was set to play regardless. Bonzi was out with a shot(in his shoulder, no HGH) so his minutes at the 4 were to go to Landry. James also got in, presumably because Wells' minutes at the 2 were going to him.

I assume you are from Houston. This has nothing to do with your post, by the way. I just noticed your signature. Did you used to have "is it still called short term memory loss if you can't remember the last time you lost?" lol. Someone on this board did.

On the last fouled called just before the timeout at 2:29 in the third, Luis Scola walked up to referee Steve Javie and said, "Two shot! Two shots! I was shooting the ball." Javie smiled and shook his head. Scola turned and walked away, shaking his head. Then Javie smiled, looked at the scorer's table and said, "It's two shots anyway. They're in the penalty."

:D from fran's live game blog. my apologies if this has been posted in some other thread.

I think if it would have been close at any point we would have seen the small line up a bit more.. with Batt at the 4 and Scola at the 5. Or Scola and Chuck together instead of Landry.

That being said... I love watching Landry's enthusiasm... he was like that at Purdue. I can't say that I saw a lot of his games before his senior year, but he played his heart out last season when I watched their games. I was following Big Ten a bit more because of Oden.

In an earlier broadcast Bull made the comment that Landry and Chuck were working together on his defense and today Bull said that Landry is working on a 3 point shot. If he can improve in those two aspects of his game he will be a great player next to Yao.

Scola too.. He had a very active game tonight, fun to watch! Each game he seems to get better and better.

How about Novak 3-5 from 3 pt land?? :)

Watching the young ones do well makes these blow out games so much more interesting!!

Haha. I remember this moment, too. It looked like he was in the shooting motion, and was shocked that the ref said he was not.

How about Novak, lol. I love that guy. There is nothing I'd rather see him do on offense than drain threes (note how I said "on offense"). Defensively, I do not know how good he is, but with Adelman, does it really matter? How about Shane Battier, averaging a block a game? He is probably averting like 2 and a half blocks over the past couple of weeks. He is awesome. Looks like he has gotten this mentality: My shots do not fall as much, so I will toughen up on defense. On a side note, has anyone noticed how Battier and I am prety sure Hayes and probably someone else on our team puts the hand DIRECTLY IN THE EYES of the shooter? I used to always think it was the most unethical thing to do to a shooter, but it makes sense, I suppose. It just sucks when people do it to me, lol.

Novak, I thought for sure that last 3 was going in to give him double figures.

How awesome would it have been if he had of went 5-5 from 3, lol. 6 in double figures. Has that happened this year at all? Imagine if this could be consistent? Unstoppable if it were.

Lol. I want it, too. I would just sell it, though, I do not mess with drugs.

I will admit, I had no idea who Scola was before the trade. I saw his highlights from the Spanish team on youtube after the trade was made, but was afraid that it just really would not equate to the NBA, but he has assuaged my pain. I love him. Tonight, the other guy that commentates with clyde (God forbid, I can not remember his name, I wanna say Worrell) said he calls Scola "Big Manu" as in Big Emanu Ginobli, lwhen he scored, lol. I can live with that. Clyde then replied if I remember correctly, "Make sure you call him that when he takes a charge, too."

I just finished watching the DVRed game. Wow! Are these the Rockets?? What a blowout. Everyone, and I mean everyone (okay, except Mike James) played very well. Landry is the real deal! He should really get playing time. He can dribble, shoot, and DUNK.

Yeah man, I did too. It must be a thing in our area (I'm right on the Richmond/Sugar Land border). I was surprised to see that noone else said anything about it?

    Wonder what happened?

Oh, and great win! We are suddenly a very fun team to watch  :D

Very nice. I did not realize that we achieved that against them. Well, guess the new goal is 8. If we pull that off, unless it is overtime, it is a guaranteed win.
