Clutchfans Game Thread: Thunder @ Rockets 8/29/2020 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 5)

Gallo, Dort, Shai, and Schroder are all really good player. Their bench is way better than ours as well. Everything just goes to crap as soon as Harden sits. We are missing our second best player and really...the only other shot creator on this team.

 

For real man...those in bouns plays.....yall know I love Mike BUT MAN, him not calling a time out is worth firing someone over, thats how bad that mistake was. Absolutely ridiculous. Yea, im hoping we blow them out early so we dont't have to play them in the clutch at their own game.

 

Covington is just overrated.

 

Why not Sam Cassell?

 

Exactly he won because he had Lebron. That's like playing with the NBA on your side.

 

lol if they were rockets they would be playing just as bad as gordon is playing now
no midrange philosophy and harden hogging the ball robs them of rhythm, natural shooting freeflow, and opportunity to practice and exercise playmaking ...
otoh i bet you any money gordon playing for okc would kill rockets...

Morey wants a puppet that’ll follow his system. Another mchale type. That’s the one and only thing positive about Tilman. He dint give a flying fizzuck about analytics. That Westbrook’s trade wa a breath of fresh air because it broke narrative of what we want to do. I love the midrange shots by Westbrook.

 

The refs have some urgency in this game. They’re not calling it like they were earlier. They don’t want this series to end tonight for the nuggets

 

That what I want to see from harden. They’re getting to the rim at will.

 

If Harden is a ball hog who makes the player's worse, why is it that these dudes completely collapse whenever he's not on the court?

Look, I'm for more midrange in the clutch, but offense was not the main reason we lost last night. We lost because our lineups without Harden suck and our defense was bad.

 

Funny that they blurred Westbrook in the picture. I bet he plays, it’s just smokescreen.

But last nights stats say otherwise. The Rockets outshot the Thunder on the floor 105 to 95...OKC won it at the free throw line 9 to 22 free throws. Most of our players are good at the free throw line. The only missed free throw we had was a Harden (3) free throws attempt. He was 4/5 for 2 trips to the FT line. House had an "and one" made, and EG had 2 trips to the FT line for 4/4. 9pts on10FTs for a whole game. Unbelievable.

 

He career averages 5 ppg more than Rivers.

That's a tad better, 5 to 8 millions more.

Cmon, none of these guy's every played like that. Gordon is having worst year and Austin Rivers has been MIA for the last two games.

Maybe? But we've seen that this team is more than capable of playing good defense while having the same shot selection.
