I'll take that as a McHale burn at not directed at me!

We certainly have an offensive philosophy.

Your point about Pop/Spurs confirms what I said though. Injured players or not, they step in and know where to be and what to do. We agree.

mathematically a 0-3 record isnt a big deal. what you dont seem to get is,,, it's not the math, its the way we lost these games and all the problems that were so obvious throughout these games.

Think about it. Random person who never played basketball would likely make 1 if you'd let him shoot 10 times. Harden isn't even making 1 out of 10. And he's one of the best basketball has.

Capela, Harrell should be playing big minutes, don't know why in the hell Capela only played 14 minutes last game. I'll be pist if they both don't get 30+ each.

He understands that Harden is gonna be a Rocket for a long time and bashing him for 3 games is not good for Feigen's job going forward as a Rockets writer.

A random person who has never played basketball would most likely not make 1 out of 10 three-pointers.

It is amazing that 4 games into the season we are in must-win status...but I think this is a must-win. The Rockets HAVE to show a pulse.

Sadly...I don't think they can get it done, given what we've seen.

    Good post.

I think is high time that a system be implemented in the playbook. We are too dependent on talent to make this team work and whenever talent is not producing for whatever reasons, we are like a high powered vehicle stuck in mud.

If it takes a coaching change to make this happen, let it be sooner rather than later. I was all for waiting 20 games or so, but even wins during that span might be nothing more than fools gold.

Is Finch ready to be that coach? Just move McHale upstairs. You don't even have to fire him.

You are inferring things I never said. Mathematically you are incorrect. I'm not talking about HOW we lost the games but about what the actual record is.

Mathematically it isn't as bad as it seems, because again, we still play games against the teams we are fighting for position with.

For instance, the Grizzlies are 2-1, we are 3-0. We play the Grizzlies 4 times. Say we play Grizzlies in our next 4 games and we sweep the Grizzlies. That makes them 2-5 and us 4-3.

This applies to every other team, we have lost to the Warriors, but we can still win the season series against them and every team we are competing against.

Mathematically, we can still be the best team in the NBA. YES, we have played poorly. I didn't say we were playing great. I simply mentioned that with a ton of season left nothing has been determined just yet.

really? its just 2 games. iirc that's what you repeatedly said in here. if i remembered wrong, then i apologize.

but again, given our glaring problems as of now, what is the point of all that math you just did over and over?

Fixed, we are 0-3 of course...but yes. EVERYONE knows we are playing like garbage. Yes if they continue to play like they have been they will go on to continue to lose. Point is that it's not even close to being too late for them to turn it around and be a major player this season. Obviously they have to play better.

I just hope Rockets play with pride and don't get blown out by 20 again. At least make it competitive.

Because it is just 3 games. It was said right after the game last night by Calvin and what's his face "If these 3 losses came in January, they wouldn't be such a big deal."

I don't know about that, depends on how the standings look and who we have left to play.

BUT the w-l record is not the college football rankings. YES we have played bad, everyone agrees. The point is they could play better and for instance go on a 5 game winning streak and easily put these losses behind them.

The point is that we are still in play for the top seed. If they play like they have last night the Thunder will beat them, Orl, Sacramento, Clippers, and yay we play the Nets!

But lets not act like it's a 0 possibility that Harden turns it around and our team looks better and starts to win like we know they can. I'm not even arguing that they will. I'm just pointing out that it's too soon to worry about if one loss will cost us between the 2nd seed and 6th seed or not. Those seeds will be decided mainly by how many games a playoff teams drops to mediocre teams and what is their record against other playoff teams especially those they are directly competing against.

We need a victory, badly. I was thrilled to see Chuck Hayes back on the court, making an immediate and positive impact, in my humble opinion. Chuck needs some more games under his belt to be at his best, but thank god for a veteran player who's smart and rarely makes mistakes. I'm interested in how many minutes he plays tonight.

This is not a must win game. Even if we were healthy and playing well, this would be a tough game. The next two games, against the Magic and the Kings are must win games.

Chuck Hayes, questionable with a sprained foot, will try to loosen it up and play, McHale said.

Terrence Jones, who is out with a cut on his right eyelid, still looks as if he can't open the eye.
