It’s not like Silas is controlling these players like it’s 2K. People seem to really exaggerate how much influence a coach can have in an individual player’s production.

LMAO jesus you said 2k? Did you not see the part where it says how the coaches used him. You dont think coaches make systems and adjustments and have ideas and run plays for certain players? Just say you dont know what you're talking about and just want to blindly defend Silas next time and save both of us the trouble. When you have to boil your point to basically saying coaching doesnt matter you really never had a point.

Right he's basically calling SIlas weak. It sounds like the players dont listen to him, that makes it even worse. If anyone ever attacks me on here I hope he doesnt try to defend me cuz he's clearly not good at it lol

 

Rockets system isn’t built on designed plays for one player. Green got the ball off screens several times. Or on the perimeter wing iso. The players also missed passing to him when he was open multiple times at the 3 line or on the break. It’s a combination of system and players not finding him while he’s open.

 

I agree, and I dont like the system.

I didn’t say coaching doesn’t matter. I said people blow way out of proportion how much control a coach has in micromanaging how plays unfold. It happens every year, with every team.

The tweet you quoted was silly. He cut to the basket and didn’t get a pass. Is that the coach’s job to deliver a pass? A lot of this depends on players getting comfortable playing with each other and in reading defenses in real time.

Blame the coach if the offense is not yielding good scoring opportunities. Instances where players don’t take advantage of a scoring opportunity that presents itself is not something the coach has direct control over.

Im just looking for growth for players and coaches alike. Wins and loses shouldnt matter but how we do both should.

 

I think we could win maybe 4 games. I think the Celtics, one Lakers game, Suns and Dallas…maybe

 

4 Wins = Right track
3 wins= ok
2 wins= we suck, long road ahead
1 win = Fire Silas

Anything above 4 wins would be amazing but I doubt it.
