LOL, New York is still talking about Lin...I know he is missed by many there. One of the reasons I would of loved for him to stay there is that he made the connection with the fans there.

One of the most important things I use these pre-season games for is to evaluate the new prospects of insane knee-jerk posters for my ignore list.

Lots of good prospects rose to the occasion last night.

Glad we won. I know it's just preseason game, but still is a moral booster especially a win over OKC when it could have been a blow out. I didn't get to see the first half until the Lin steal of Westbrook, so was pleasantly surprise we were so close playing against their starters, although Perkins and Sefolosha didn't play.

McHale also seemed pretty surprise how well they played.

Now you've done it. You just set off tinman's spidey sense. Consequences will never be the same.

Lin's TO's most of the time are just the stupid kind, not because he's getting abused physically and getting pickpocketed or something. Other times his passes hits his big man but they just muff it.
But half of the ones he had yesterday were the kind where it clearly due to sloppiness/miscommunication and one or two "Wtf was he thinking trying to make that pass?" kinds. He is still jumping and passing at times though (the only good situation for that would be if he's drawing a defender to him intentionally and knows for sure where he is going with the pass)

All in all. Just as expected really, especially considering dude is still trying to come back to 100% and still have only played 26 true NBA games and just now being a default starter for the first time in his young career. He'll get better.

I watched the game and read the thread. The only point that I don't think has been made is that Delfino may have been acquired with the thought that Martin would be gone and Delfino would start at the 2 until Lamb is ready. Even if Martin is traded at the deadline, Delfino may be a good pick up or Rockets. I also think that saying that he is terrible after a couple of days of practice and one preseason game is really unfair.

Lin did a decent job on D keeping Westwood in front of him, but when RW makes all his shots, there is nothing he can do. But the bad thing about RB is that when his shots are not falling, he doesn't contribute to his team through scoring or assists; but when his shots are falling, there is nothing anyone can do. For Lin to score more (I don't know if that is what the coach wants, as there appears to be many Rockets players who are capable of scoring), he has to hit his jump shots.

Man, thanks for sharing. You do a great job of finding videos on the players.

Anyone else thinking that we could have moved down and drafted Perry Jones instead of Royce White?

They only had two starters last night, but admittedly... their two best players.

    (Serge was also absent)

Man, it's only a preseason game, and the first one, people here are already calling player bust, or all star.

This is the time for veterans to slowly get into their game shape, for young players to fight for the play time, for coaches to decide who to cut/keep. Don't read too much into these games.
