I'll be the first to cheer for TD if he can run the offense like that against non-benchers.

Yeah, I was encouraged to see the starters-vs-starters segment, esp Asik's defense and boards starting fast breaks.

If Westbrook shoots more than Durant in a game, Rockets can perhaps win haha. If Lin is able to inspire Westbrook to shoot that much, that's like a special power -- catnip for chuckers.

Why? That seems like a pretty likely bench lineup. The only one who might screw it up is Delfino. The likely starters to start the season are Lin, Martin, Parsons, PPat, and Asik. We have two many potential play makers on this team to stick with a 7 or 8 man rotation. Jones, White, DMO, and Lamb will all get playing time at some point, they have too much potential to let rot on the bench especially since we're rebuilding. I expect to see that rotation plenty at least halfway through the season.

Not me I think your selling Parsons short, I believe his game will be even better this year.

Lin has got to worry about these turnovers, other then that I say he wasn't that bad.

Parsons the same, although I am guessing it is just going to take time for him to gel since he really didn't get a lot of time with Patterson or Martin last seasons.

Jones was very good, Lamb showed up better on the boards then I thought he would, Motiejunas will take some time but I like his potential.

No I'm not, he would still be the starter. This is a bench rotation.

It was a good game. Im glad I have Comcast. But anyway, everyone did well. D-Mo looked a little slow today but its no biggie since he's a rookie trying to get adjusted. I feel Lamb did pretty well, had some nice moves but he needs some more time to get used to the NBA.

Jeremy Lin didn't really tried to score and his passes are really good, but some he did force which resulted in a few turnovers. His teammates will get used to playing with him as well as he get used to playing with them. The person that was most impressive was Terrence Jones. He was dominant on the glass and he played like he was at Kentucky. He had a really nice put back dunk and a nice long three pointer at the last sec of the 3rd quarter.

Honestly, watching Thabeet was really frustrating. The way he played made me worried that he was going to injured somebody, and Morris ended up getting hurt by him. This guy plays with no coordination and he is just a big foul machine that is an accident waiting to happen like Bill Worrell said.

I wish I could see the faces of McHale and Jones during their interviews. They were probably grinning from ear to ear.

    KEVIN MCHALE:

There was some good stuff. I thought we had some carry over from what we were doing on both offense and defense. I feel like it was like a lot of exhibition games; we were little tired in spots and the ball got a little draggy and we didn’t get too many stops and had too many turnovers and not enough ball movement. I thought defensively we had a few breakdowns but overall you could see what we had been working on and we transferred that over to the game.

We wanted to get some pace in the game and I thought we did at times we pushed it pretty good but we got tired. It’s a start. We’ve been together for about a week … we’ve got lots of stuff to clean up and still have a lot of work to do. It was kind of what I expected for the first exhibition game.

    (on Terrence Jones)

He’s got a good nose for the ball. He’s got a good feel for tracking balls down, he runs, he knows how to get open, he’s got very good hands – he’s just a good, solid player.

    (on Jeremy Lin)

I thought Jeremy had a good stint. I thought he had a couple times where he probably should have shot it and tried passing it instead trying to be unselfish. But I thought Jeremy was pretty solid overall. I mean Russell Westbrook made some tough shots over a hand up and good defense – that doesn’t bother me too much.

(on what he’s learned about his team so far)

That they’re a good group of guys. They’re going to work hard. They try to do what you ask them to do. They’re a hard working group of young guys which they better be because they’re so young. We’re not going to beat people on flat-out talent and experience; we’ve got to beat them with energy and effort.

    TERRENCE JONES:

I just wanted to carry over what we’re doing through training camp and practice, and just try to carry that over to the game.

(on whether he was nervous heading into his first NBA game)

It was crazy. For it to be my first game, it was exciting. I was just nervous pretty much the whole first half.

Looking at the stat sheet is nothing like watching the game. Lamb didn't score that much in the 2nd half but he did really well. He was all over the court and grabbing rebounds and playing really well with T Jones. Its totally different from watching the game and just looking at the stat sheet. Looking at the stat sheet means nothing because a lot of times, players can impact the game so much more without it showing up on the stat sheet.

Alex L., Don't worry haters, Lin will be the first to admit he didn't play well tonight.

    You were right.
