If you trace the concentric circles bein run around the Rockets, you will find Atlantis. A city built out of stone. A kingdom that sank in one day and one night.
I sense a weird ego problem. Not sure if it's good or bad. I can't decide if he thinks he's better than he actually is, or is he is just trying to put the team on his shoulders. He's starting to call the ball a lot in positions that he does not really excel in and end up taking bad shots. He needs to play within the flow and the shots will come. Kelly scored just as many points as him while taking half the shots because he as basketball IQ.
Good bounce back game for KPJ is what you want to see. How he handled himself after an atrocious game v the Pelicans. He still could have easily had 30points. I think he loses focus . People were laughing when we suggested David Robinson Nike Command Force or any high top shoe for Mr. Wood. That's working ok, though with the Kobe Elite he's rocking, he might as well break out the 1950s converse. Oh yeah, focus...KPJ would benefit from some adderall. It's only illegal if you don't need it.
Wood is a power forward not a center. He is not a franchise player OR maybe....maybe not a allstar player be he is a good shooter and if tries can easily get 10 rebounds a game. We need to trade Gordon for Myles Turner in Indiana. Turner, Wood and Olynik would be perfect for us next year. At the draft we need to trade Gordon for Turner. Also, we need to trade Walls.....and during draft day.....draft Cade or Geen....We will be a good team
I'd like him to Start DOMINATING the game...you don't need to be a PG or a playcaller to do that...and if that means not passing it when he touches it so be it... ...I like Wood but he cant be THE guy, he's a solid supporting piece at best.
The red flags: lack of killer instinct, consistent tenacity, questionable leadership and character issues He improved on them character issues and took a big leap in his game to be fair. The losing will summon back his old demons. Or go to the Spurs, they will be staying at No 9-12.
Y'all are weird to jump on Wood because his play got worse after his injury. Before the injury this guy went 10/12 with 24 points like every game and now he has no BBIQ? Rockets fans back at it again, thirsty for the "next franchise player" and with enough "expertise" to say a 25 year old with as much NBA experience as a 2nd year player has peaked and has this that and those issues. Classic CF. Let's be real here, maybe 5% of you have any evaluating skills and even then, it's simply impossible to say Wood has peaked at this point or won't be better because he has not stagnated yet. From last season to this season he improved. If he stops doing that between seasons and is about 30, then you can say he peaked if you like. Not right now.
He needs to bulk up and also needs to develop a jump hook. Right now he's too skinny to play physical. Hakeem needs to work with him all summer
Yea Wood could play the 4. He's OK at the 5, but doesn't have to be that the whole game. I'd be interested to see him as a PF also. He has a nice soft shooting touch near the rim. Decently fast for someone his height. As a rim help defender, shot blocker possibly. Maybe don't let him bang the entire game. Saves him for possible foul trouble. In term of ideal type body goals; the game has soft touch guys like Durant who's a near 7-footer bean pole, but relies on his skill. Durant could play the 5; but he's usually at the 3, (sometimes 4 spot).
You would like a guy we signed for 8 million who is getting his 1st extended starting minutes to dominate? And you would be ok if he just starts jacking up shots? Who is the front court guy who is the guy that does that? And why does he have to be the guy?
