I think the crap about our guards 50% is physical, 50% is mental. Now it's up to our star players to will us to the win.
Roxy, Believe me man, most of those shots taken by our guards were absolutely WIDE OPEN, they JUST didn't make them, as simple as that. There were not many forced shots today, we just couldn't knock down a damn shot (as I have become used to by now). When you get an open shot, you take it, it is as simple as that. The Suns knew we can't hit a shot, so they mostly just packed the interior and watched with a smirk on their faces, challenging us to make them (OK, I am exaggerating that part )
#7? We are one loss ahead of both the Grizzlies and Nuggets. If we don't get it together, we could very easily go 1-3 on the road coming up and be in 8TH place after next Monday.
you are so funny.whereis mutombo? yeah, their two centers'48 minutes outplayed Yao's 33minutes. Is that what you want to say?
Are you joking? It's okay for McGrady to shoot 6-21? that's not even 30% dude! As far as Wesley and James, we all knew they were brought in to play tough D and shoot spot up shots... so I'm not surprised to see them take those open looks, especially Wesley. I'm not too sure about Sura taking 15 shots, but maybe he was just triggerhappy today... (remember for the past few games he hasn't been looking to shoot?)
How about the fact the Rockets play good defense and at their best are better than anyone except for maybe the spurs. Don't tell me you can't agree with me on that one. Why do you let regular season records be the ultimate judgement on WHO THE TRULY BETTER TEAM IS?
This is getting out of hand. For a long stretch, it looked like we were unstoppable and ALL our shots were going in. Now we can't hit anything. It's really frustrating. They gotta figure something out or at least work on their jumpers like crazy.
Didn't they start practicing at the Toyota Center a long time ago -I would think they would shoot better at home because of the familiarity.. How long has this shooting slump gone on....
I concur. I think he's a yao basher =P anywho, even if was true I'll still be happy that Yao can cancel out two centers. Props to the big man, Yao!
\ Yep that's what I said. You mean to say you think the SUNS are a better team for the playoffs (which matters) than the Rockets?
That's a problem for a few games now. JVG has to do something. We're only a good team when we have a inside-outside balanced attack.
Sura: 26.7% in 15 Wesley: 27.2% in 11 T-Mac: 28.6% in 21 Bowen: 45.5% in 11 Yao: 56.3% in 16 James: 20.0% in 15 Mutombo: 100.0% in 1 Padgett: 40.0% in 5 Weatherspoon: 0.0% in 2 The conclusion? No matter how cold your opponents shooting, you cannot win with this kind of FG percentage. So stop arguing that the Suns are hot.
I can choose to agree with you on that one, but your argument on reg. season records are even weaker.
All I'm saying is why do you people have to tip your hats off to teams like the MAVS and SUNS?? I have no respect for those teams and I know for a fact they will NEVER win a championship. THose are all teams built for the regular season but come playoff time, teams like the ROCKETS and SPURS and PISTONS will shine. The ROckets despite their inconsistency and blah blah, are still the better team and we have the right pieces. That's why it's more the frustrating for me whenever they lose.
