    ESPN.com rationalizes Rockets win

"the Suns, who used their starters most of the game even though they had already clinched the No. 2 seed in the West. Steve Nash added 15 points and 15 assists."

The Suns just used their starters for "most of the game"? They are flat out implying the Suns did not use their starters completely, fully trying to beat Houston.

    Nice ESPN.

Marion reached 40 minutes for only the 2nd time this month. Where was the clarification in all those previous April games?

Dude, nobody uses their starters for all 48 minutes.

You're being paranoid. That is an AP story, first of all. Second, the clear intent of the phrase is to point out that it was a legit win because the Suns played their starters as if to win the game.

ya but I dislike espn nonetheless.

they seem to always be rooting for the other team.

After listening to a few audio feeds from opposing teams radio stations, I'm convinced that the Hornets and Suns announcers are less biased against the rox than espn announcers are.

The Suns played their starters usual minutes. Nash/Stoudemire/Marion combined for 108 minutes. Their season average is 105.8 minutes.

That's what everyone thinks. Visit other fan forums and you will see that they claim to be ESPN victims as well.

They wanted to win real bad. Everyone saw them happy when they started hitting late shots.

I agree. I don't understand the need for this thread. I'm not saying that ESPN has not dissed the Rockets because they have had many times in the past, but this is one time where it is not happening.

Nash and Stoudemire were on the bench a little longer than usual, but they were playing all out like normal, we beat them fair and square.

Stoudemire played more minutes than his season average. Nash played 1 minute under his.

Phoenix put up the show last night. After the Rockets beat the Suns, I really think their is a possibility that we can go all the way.

    GO ROCKETS!

we are playing very well, Howard did a good job, but he and Yao need to step up a litte more, I know they can...Rafer was decent, he had some great steals, he is very inconsistent, so you never know what you can expect from him.....Battier made his shots and thats why we won..

It worries me if the other players don't step up, it would be dissapointing to see Mac working his ass off and then Hayes not hitting his layups  ..
