Also, was Yao gonna get a goddam feed until the 4th. He was only scoring on putbacks. No, Voskul's defence WASN'T that good.

Only bright side of the day... I can actually hear them boo the refs and chant "call a foul" at the Showroom.

To be fair, Yao wasn't getting any position. It happens every damn time. He'll have a huge 1st half, and then disappear in the 2nd. Although tonight, Voskuhl was doing everything except tackling Yao. I mean come on, it was like football practice out there. Could the refs let him get away with much more!? Anyway, is Yao getting fatigued in after the half, or are teams just adjusting. We've finally gotten to the point where we run the offense through Yao. That's a check. Now, when Yao is not available to carry us, what do we do? Francis and/or Mobley and/or Jackson need to carry us. Our shooting is horrid, and like you said, it showed tonight.

Well......maybe I'm looking for the silver lining, but I really liked what I saw in Yao. I mean, we all know he's a stud, but he was asked to play a lot more minutes tonight than usual, and I think he responded pretty well. He looked winded, but he kept on going. To me, his conditioning has always been his biggest question mark, and I think HE may have turned the corner in that regards.

I also think he'll respond well to the fact that he was given the last shot and he missed it. Our team isn't necessarily getting better and better, but he sure as hell is. This will only be a character builder for him.

I like that Yao got a chance to tie it up at the end (although he probably got the ball because he's the only guy we can throw it into without giving it away).

    Sigh....

2 steps forward, one step back.

    Same ole inconsistent Rockets.

They should never lose to this team, never.

If the other team presses you, ATTACK IT !!!

But, that would be fundamental basketball...and asking too much of tweedle dee and tweedle dum.

    Just too many TO!

We could have just won the game against the Suns if we are careful enough to protect the ball. Stevie and the entire Rocks just could'nt get on the humps when their in needs! 22 TO was just way to much for a fast phase team like the Suns. Yao had a little to much of TO too! And that was phenomenom fro the big guy. Oh well, just can't get to perfect i guess!

I was at the game tonight, and basically all I remember are the Francis deflected passes that ended up being turnovers and his numerous missed jumpers, frustrated me to no end.

This game made me change my sig, check it out and hope it does not come true.

the pass from guards to Yao were out of sync today. They often missed the first second when Yao had the position. Then their guys run around him and drag him out of place. Refs were blind to this wrestling. But they were certainly eager to take Yao out of his game. The second call on Yao was total B.S. and then the offensive foul tried to make Yao timid. These refs are bribed! They gave Suns almost twice many FT's. And this was on our home court!

I liked that try too. Although Yao didn't make the shot, he had a decent look and it is just statistics game. He will make close to 50% of that. It is way better than letting our guards to throw up some wide off balance circus shots.

I just checked the box score. Amare had 26 shots when he made 7 of them (not shooting fouls leading to FTs). Imagine if Yao EVER comes close to that.

Just because he missed the last shots doen't mean he sucks, in fact he had a great game. Judging from Clutch's recap it was Van Gundy who made the mistakes to cost us this game.

Sure, Van Gundy was out there throwing the ball away, and missing open shot after open shot.

And Van Gundy let his man Marion take a wide open 3 pointer at the end of regulation.

Come on now....the team should have won if they just played a little smarter.

How about fouling Joe Johnson on the PASS at the end of the game and putting him at the line with 10 seconds left instead of letting him pass it to Marion, and why the heck wasn't Adrian (supposed to be a good defender) Griffin not denying Marion the ball?

A wide open 25 foot shot is a GOOD shot.....contest everything.
