I don't think it was really a staredown. It was more of Dwight's complete shock that the refs didn't call that bullcrap since they were giving Dragic touch fouls all game.

What a smooth game! Great ball movement and very unselfish play all the way. Howard was awesome, but that's not news. You play to get Dwight going under the rim and simultaneously shoot 68.8% from behing the arc. That's perfect Rocket basketball. The Suns played really well, but the Rockets were just in a different zone.

PJ Tucker looks like he marks Rockets game on his calendar just so he can guard Harden. Did Harden get a lapdance from his girlfriend or something?

I think so too. Great team win, overall -- no major complaints from me, other than virtually everything Casspi did tonight.

Decent win. Didn't like losing the lead and being so close, but decent win. Great game for Dwight... post moves, defense, and FTs. Plumlee isn't great, but he's played well this season and Dwight served him. Rockets shot well across the board and took care of the ball overall.

We are officially closer to 2nd place than 8th. Baby steps

If you aren't a little more realistic, your hopes will just get crushed in a couple of years.

Well, That thread about our D being top 5 for the last month was very evident in the 4th quarter - very promising to see that this team can flip the light switch like that to get wins like this, otherwise we would have kept trading buckets. Bodes well for playoffs. DEFENSE!!!! Our O almost takes care of itself.

AK from The Dream Shake noticed that Dwight had been pushing the ball up court immediately after the rebound instead of taking the second or two to pass it off. It might be part of an adjusted strategy to push the offensive pace and create more mismatches.

I'm deathly afraid about what to expect from him in the playoffs. It was a great win tonight though. I just wish the Wizards could have held on.

Why should he? I seem to remember a time when we were just as hopefull as the Suns, and we made it a mission to get stars. Everyone said we were silly and doing it wrong but look at us now... The Suns do have a bright future!

Agree. Pretty proud that rockets were able to rebuild without ever tanking. Tanking shouldn't be encouraged. It's cheap.

Watched NBA Tonight just for the Rockets highlights. Sadly disappointed - not with the Rockets win, but the lack of highlights by ESPN.

The future is bright for the Suns. Reminds me of the Rockets a few years ago. How would you feel if they traded Len, one of the Morris bros, Okafor, and some picks for Melo?

This was a good win and a strong performance for Houston against a very good team. Phoenix doesn't have star power but they present tough match ups. Howard was dominant. I was pleasantly surprised to see McHale play Lin for the entire 4th quarter. Until that point he had not gotten into a real rhythm. But in the 4th quarter, he basically dictated tempo and the team was responsive to his pushing of the pace. The only thing I wish he did in the 4th quarter was hit that one layup.
