Sounds good in theory. But Jalen and Amen learning how to play in a half-court setting when the game slows down will be pay off in the long-run. Especially in 4th quarters and in the playoffs. That being said, I do think Ime should at least pair Amen and Jalen together with that 2nd unit. Play that fast-paced style while Fred/Alpi rest.
Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun is the Best Play the Rockets can Run. Reasons 1. Jalen Green can be Mentally Engaged, Satisfied by touching the ball to Create. Jalen Green No Doubt is a Playmaker with Sengun not a Spot Up Shooter. 2. Alperen Sengun when he receives the ball from Jalen for layups, Dunks or a pass to Jabari, Brooks for 3s it opens up the Driving Lane. 3. Fred VanVleet as a Spot Up 3 Point Shooter opens up the Floor for Jalen to Drive into the Paint. 4. It speeds up the offense using Jalen Speed and quick crossover. Other Notes I can see why Scottie Barnes was frustrated with Fred VanVleet, he waves players off for his own scoring. Fred waving off Jalen is clear disrespect. Can't wait until Amen Thompson is developed in shooting 3s and playing with Jalen Green in the Starting Backcourt. Amen Thompson defense is really needed against Elite Point Guards. Fred is a terrible Defender against Trae Young, Damian Lillard, Luka Doncic. Fred VanVleet I think will be traded 1 1/2 seasons and get a Draft Pick and Players. Amen Thompson will be ready by then.
