Hill is athletic, Bud when healthy is above average (definitely not ridiculous), and Lee is not what I would call an athlete (although I like his alleys)
It's like Adelman doesn't want to mix things up. It's either all starters or all bench. Be creative for crying out loud!
Jordan Hill and Courtney Lee on the bench Laughing and we are down 9 has to a Microcosm for the season.
He's the default starter since Brooks is injured. How is he going to get his mandated 35 mins of pt unless he starts?
I'm a broke college student and I'm glad I didn't buy club tickets to go to this game with a friend. She loves watching Nash play but I'll be darned if I paid that much to go see the Rockets play like dirt.
I might be too if I played 5 excellent minutes and then got pulled. Courtney is probably laughing at how much he has been sucking.
Rick always waits two possessions too late to call TO. And he plays Lowry over Ish. Other than that, he's stone-cold brilliant. Like our stone-cold shooting. I'm ready to see some JT and JJ-- they can't play any worse than anyone we've thrown out there so far, except maybe Luis and Jordan.
No, I agree, Hill should have stayed in. Everyone else needed to go (with the exception of maybe Ish, but he was getting ripped apart on defense).
I'm not certain we remember as well as we should how this team played last season. They were 20-13, then finished 42-40. We went 22-27 to end the season (45%) and we are 3-9 (33%) to start this one without Brooks for the most part. 25-36 over that stretch. We just aren't very good, and we'll be only marginally better when Brooks returns. Something has to change or we are gonna blow this team up.
If you're not going to score, then at least keep the other team from scoring. Don't freaking give them a lay up drill every time down the court. No excuses for that.
I don't know what kind of set rotation he's planning on doing by subbing all 5 starters in at the same time. Most coaches do it one player at a time so as not to disrupt the chemistry and momentum on the court, but unfortunately Rick the ruler doesn't roll that way.
