I would add that the strong play of Luis Scola, Luther Head and, to a lesser extent, Kirk Snyder were positives to take out of this game. The negatives: Yao Ming and Bonzi Wells. They blew. As hot as Phoenix was, I was glad the Rockets hung around. We'll be good. All of those little wimps who are conceding the season amongst the West's elite...get off the bandwagon and stay off!
You know I can't stand Duncan or Dirk but I have a hard time not liking Nash....... I call for blood when the Rox's play any team but I just want small drops of it when they play the Suns
I like what I am seeing from our role players. I hate what I am seeing from Yao, as far as him being the man when T-Mac leaves. But as long as T-Mac stays healthy this season that shouldn't be an issue. Maybe Yao can grow into the role eventually. If we can get production from the role players I think we will be a feared team come playoff time.....
i didn't watch the game but Yao sucks without T-Mac. The Rockets are Tracy's team. We are ****ed if Tracy gets injured seriously
Definitely tired legs out there. Bonzi missed so many put backs. That has to be it. Time to play Synder, Francis and Brooks. If Scola keeps playing like this, Yao who? Tmac and Scola!!!
how so? we beat the spurs and jazz when we still struggled mightily w/ our offense. we stayed w/ dallas. look man, why are you comparing our team like this is the finished product? we are far from it. but the spurs/jazz/mavs/suns are finished products for the most part. and LIKE I SAID, WE BEAT THE SPURS AND JAZZ (on the road i might add).
Thoughts. 1. Luis Scola - looks great, Chuck Hayes is going to see his minutes cut drastically. 2. Steve Francis looked good, not so much his shooting but his passing was crisp and on time. 3. Mike James can NOT be the starting PG, he dominates the ball too much even when shooting ok, it hurts the team because players stop moving. 4. Yao - Needs to get angry..... DD
we're just not looking good. yao is... something has gotten into him. scola is encouraging. and you know what I don't really like any of our guards. james, alston, head, francis, brooks, they are all just mediocre at best. snyder is a ballhog. hayes is a great worker but like alston coaches seem to get enamored with them and they just don't cut it. they aren't good enough get over it. I can work hard too, but I'll never ever be an impact player. some players just don't have in in them.
i am not in to the whole "who is more important, yao or tmac?" debate but clearly this shows we cannot go far without t-mac.
