Maybe jazz is not as bad as people think. But this also tells us how important teamwork is!

That is the same if you tell me Shaw is shooting 5-13 but with 6 assists tonight.

Was Jim Jackson's three in third court not counted? It happened in third quarter when rockets score was 53. I saw JJ hit a three in the right baseline, and the score board is still showed 53, no change at all. has anyone noticed this on TV. I was in the top level of Toyota Center, Just want to verify it.

I could have sworn that a few of the airballs from the Rockets were swishes and I was seated in the lower bowl behind the basket. I think you may have seen an airball.

Did the Suns take the ball out on the baseline after the shot? Did the crowd actually cheer after this supposed 3 pointer:)

I just wanted to say that was a really good game. I didn't get a chance to read all the posts but you know life is always tailing ones ass and one doesn't always have the chance to just sit back in ones computer chair and tell his ones loved ones to buzz off cause one is trying to read the game thread posts. thats what pisses me off in life, a man nowdays can't get some peace and quiet to read a few game thread posts. hehe.
that **** aint right. Let me just say the houston rockets are jolly good fellows and nobody can deny, and nobody can deny. man im drunk..burp.

    This is a great sign.

Before the season, ESPN analysts said that Sloan would be Coach of the year if Utah got over 20 wins.

I was pretty close! Without the Marbury drive and-1 on Yao I would have been on.

Yao played fine today, he kept asking for the ball even though he was a little off.

On a good day he might have had 30.

Duhhh... he misses HIS FIRST FOUR TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW... duhhh.

That's why he doesn't have the ball more. Read my rant in this thread It explains what I witnessed in person.

Good game today. Alittle sloppy at times but we got the win...cant complain about that. ;)

One thing that I was wondering about. In the 4th quarter when Mobley got hit in the leg why didnt the Rockets take a time out and instead let Mobley shoot the freethrow in pain and as a result he missed the first free throw...

Just wondering...he seemed like it hurt really bad when he shot the first freethrow.

That's not Cuttino's style. And it's definitely Van Gundy's style. He wants his boys to be tough! He probably said something to Yao about playing through the pain when Cat stepped up to the free throw lane.

Yao has this pained expression on his face this season. The smile that he had last year is gone. I'm worried about him meshing with Van Gundy. If basketball ain't fun, it's hard to play with the intensity that he needs to play with. I hope everything works out for him. I saw a few times tonight where he was fighting for position in the low post and sealing off his defender, but the guards seemed incognizant of where he was posting up and just kept swinging the ball wildly around the horn to the opposite side of where he was establishing position. I think that is pretty stupid myself and they are not honoring their big man by taking the ball to the side that he is posting up on. Sure looks like to me that the only perimeter players that can get entry passes to Yao are JJ and Boki. I felt like several times Yao had the feeling of "what's the use of fighting for post position, I may get the ball 1 time out of 10. It ain't worth it."

Calvin keeps making the comment on TV about not understanding this new breed player. THey all think they gotta go to the hole and dunk it. THe mid range jump shot is an antique these days, similar to the set shot of the old days.

We won but we still ain' t playing up to our potential by a long shot. I think the Lakers, Spurs and T-Wolves will wipe the floor with us at this point. Dallas already has. So that means we are basically scrounging around with Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, Memphis, and Utah for the bottom of the playoff barrel. I don't think there is a lot that separates the last 6 teams from each other but there is a big gap between all of them and the top 4 of LA, SA, Minn, and Dallas.

I do like our improved defense. If we had D'd up on Marbury in the first half like we did the 2nd half, we could've won by about 15. I also sensed tonight that we are missing some of our big rotation now with MoT and Eddie gone. Torray didn't do a whole lot and Padgett is Bullard II. I sure would like to see Eddie back for defensive purposes. Cato sure played a good game tonight. Good defense and shot blocking presence with the board play. Cato and JJ sure help this team out defensively. They are my players of the game.

Have you seen how Yao showed the emotion after scoring the jumper and getting fouled? That looked just like how he is portrayed in ESPN NBA 2K4 :D

When I saw that I thought I was playing the game. :p

Jazz has a lot system type players, and Sloan is a damn good system coach, very displine, and his team always play hard like him. You put those things together, you'll win quite a few games.
