I like the potential in Mirotic but I'll take what Tibbs and Mirotic have already acknowledged recently saying its going to be a slow/step-by-step process getting adjusted to the NBA for him. imo he won't be playing on a regular basis in the rotation this year, not yet.. especially with the defensive system Thibs has.

Gibson is way ahead of mirotic, especially being a two way player. they're trying to win now, not waiting for mirotic to fulfill some potential. Gibson's not that easily replaceable. imo you're severely undervaluing gibson as a player for chicago

Maybe you're right. I was talking closer to the trade deadline. By then things will be a lot clearer. Mirotic and gibsons status as well as the NOP pick. Also the Bulls status. They may not want to tinker with anything if they're having a great season.

My scenario isn't too far fetched though. It just requires Mirotic to be earning 25 minutes a game come February, Pelicans looking like the playoffs won't happen, and Pau being healthy.

Gibson is very valuable. I'm just hoping Mirotic proves himself more valuable. This guy was highly touted. And I don't think Pau would have signed there for no reason. I just think they have too many big guys if all play well. Turning one into a lottery pick and prospects isn't the worst deal.

You're right though. This isn't a deal Chicago would consider right now. Still a lot to see.

I didn't see the game, so is Tarik Black a high energy type player or is he showing more than that?
