ClutchFans Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets 5/5/2017 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 3)

The Spurs will be forced to play a line-up of:
G - Kawhi Leonard
G - Kawhi Leonard
F - Kawhi Leonard
F - Kawhi Leonard
C - Kawhi Leonard

 

Kawhi has no help and Harden is playing on the WC all star team so I'm hoping for a nice, boring win in front of the home crowd

this made me think, remember when harden was doing it all ever since he became a rocket? how come nobody ever said harden needs help? its always kawhi needs help or Westbrook needs help.

 

Well we know we can count on Ryan Anderson being a no show for the next two games at least. Gordon and Williams will have to ball out. In addition to Capela and Nene.

The Spurs had their best game as a collective unit where they shot the lights out but I doubt that they will play that well again and we will be that bad again. We have to be more active on the defensive glass and have more pace to our game grab the 50-50 loose balls and don't allow Green and Mills to start hitting their threes. . Plus Ariza, Lou and co need to pick it up on offense.

 

I love getting bored

 

Rockets better be focused from the get go! Can not be down at the end of 1st quarter at home like they have been against OKC. Spurs will be coming out ready, Rockets will need to match their intensity. Can not be out hustle for the 50/50 boards. Go Rockets!!

 

They have stomp dat assssssssssssssss from beginning to end. Like it's the last game you'll ever play kind of shiiiit.

Hopefully Harden show up

 

I'm celebrating my birthday this weekend and have friends flying into town who don't give a damn about the Rockets. I REALLY need them to get this W so I'm not an angry, awful hostess for the next few days.

 

Happy Birthday! I hope it goes off like a dream or maybe The Dream.

 

Media were to busy blowing off the Golden Boy Curry, to even notice Harden. The year Harden had to hard carry the team, was the epic rise of Media Darling Curry and Warriosr. 73 wins garnered way more attention than beard needs help.

 

With Mills starting they really won't be much different in the early stages of the game. What they do lose is the 6th/7th man role that Mills was playing. It's really gonna be incumbent upon our second unit to take advantage of Murray/Manu or whoever else is assuming the role Mills once had.

 

Anybody that we can hack stop the momentum?
