I had a great time watching this season, and look forward to next. And to all my fellow unabashedly optimistic Rockets fans, don't let the whiners get to you. They will complain and be miserable. They like it that way. To heck with them dorks!

My opinion is, regardless of what the Rockets did, San Antonio under-performed a lot in this series. The last game is when it all came together for them. It's like they had completely figured us out at the very end after it seemed we had them figured out in the beginning. It came full circle. And, ironically, they were better without two of their top players. That's a credit to Pop's coaching.

Given the state of the division they play in and that they currently hold the best record in the majors, they'll be in the playoffs this year. Odds are good if any H-Town sports team sniffs a title anytime soon, it'll be the Astros before the Rockets. Hell, even the Texans might vault past the Rockets if Watson pans out.

What a depressing end to a season far better than most of us expected at the beginning. Time to start thinking about who we might sign in the off-season, and who we might be able to draft. It's better than stepping in front of a bus because of what happened in Houston last night - a humiliation.

Harden had a fantastic season and deserves the regular season MVP.

But imagine rooting for a team who has a superstar, plays a huge role on the team’s success, but at any point can and will inexplicably activate sleep mode. What a nightmare for Morey, the coaching staff, his teammates, and for us the fans.

This was an unforgettable event that we won’t forget the rest of Harden’s career. It’s terrifying that say next year we run out another great team and advance in the playoffs, while at the same time worrying that at any given point, something could happen to cause Harden to completely disengage himself from the series.

How do you even plan for that? Only solution is getting another star to step up when Harden goes rogue.

Except that recruiting another star may prove difficult after last night. Who wants to throw in with a guy who quits when the tiniest bit of adversity rears its ugly head?

I think Nene was a bigger loss then any of us expected because who knew MDA would make Harden his starting PF?

That was the end of us, I said it then, we weren't winning the series with that rotation. Notice how Pop continued to attack Harden's post defense.

Harden is a good post defender... in spots. This is not something he should be doing in 2 games.

I think there is something to losing that game 5, they all put everything in that game and to come up short like that...I don't know. It wasn't just Harden, we expect more of him, but really the only two guys who came out to play last night were Capela and Ariza, the rest of the guys looked like they already had their offseason plans scheduled and ready to go. Was very odd.

I think LeBron is going to win it this year. I'm not sure what you're getting at because I am the first one to say dantoni got his ass whooped and failed to make adjustments. Read my other posts

I am clueless and yet I called rockets in five against the thunder and spurs in six

no one can tell me durant didn't ruin the west for the next five years. That's exactly what he did. with each off-season they are going to add players who will take play cuts to win a championship. with The exclusion of bogut, most players will probably end up signing with them. LeBron is getting older.

most fans thought we were going to win clippers style and end up beating the mighty Warriors based off of one regular season game that went to double overtime where Ryan Anderson played out of his mind and taking down lebron in the finals. Get with the program...they failed to realize the clippers are the biggest choke artists ever.

while I agree we went down in an ugly fashion, it's way better than four games of playing the Warriors. they actually have smart coaching AND the talent to expose the Rockets.

The only thing keeping this guy relevant is how everyone hates James Harden. when the Spurs lose game One everyone will forget about this guy again.

please Western Conference finals can you start already.

all this does is make free agents not want to come to Houston. The way the media laughs and how the Rockets go out is main reason why stars don't want to join this franchise in the off-season. It's always an ugly finish.

we had a great year with Mike Dantoni and James Harden and how everyone fit in, we were ready to attract one good all star, but not anymore. It's doubtful now.

I don't get how some teams can get swept and nobody bats an eye, but this happens to the Rockets.

If you were a free agent looking to win a ring, would you come here? Certainly not if it meant taking less money. The only reason a quality free agent signs here after what Harden did is if the Rockets throw a bunch of money at him or they think putting up big numbers in the D'Antoni system will lead to an even larger payday down the road.

I keep emphasizing it because people need to understand this. Harden was so godawful and uninspired over the last 53 minutes of the postseason that it's gonna define the rest of his career until he wins a title(or at least gets to the Finals). And since he's the face of the franchise, it by extension will define the Rockets.
