It's unfair to judge vspan when he only gets to play with scrubs. We need to see what he can do with the starters.
What happens when teams are going to find out soon enough that he can't shoot yet... and all those penetration and passes can be neutralized. Its pretty damn easy to stop a player who can't shoot... or doesn't even look to shoot... or who would rather turn it over before attempting a shot. On a team with Yao Ming and T-mac... you simply need guys who DON'T turn the ball over, and can SHOOT an open shot... and those are V-span's two biggest weaknesses right now (and you wonder why he doesn't get any minutes.)
Mmm...Novak with a last-second three. For all the V-span supporters who say he deserves 5 mins a game, I think there is a much better candidate for that time and I wonder why the forum doesn't talk about that...
I remember that Yao praised Vspan earlier. I think he also realizes the beauty of the timing of the passes he gets from him puts him into a much better position to score than anybody else bar t-mac.
you have a point, but I think its because they want V to replace Rafer (who sucks alot) but those ahead of Novak (McGrady, Battier,Wells) for the most part play well, so there is not much to complain about there
I think for novak and vspan playing in the nbdl could of benefieted them greatly, its real clear they needed some playing time. so why wern't they sent there?

If he can't elevate the play of the scrubs around him, why would you expect him to be able to do it for the starters? Besides, he was in the game with T-Mac tonight. Didn't you watch?
yes but it is also not fair to compare them to the Spurs bench who is used more often and knows how to react to games better than the ROX.
