It looks to me Jeremy might be traded in the off-season. Rockets are practicing plays without him being the PG, and they may add another spot up 3-pointer to work with James, and use Jeremy to get a superstar.

Thinking about where the Rockets are now -- at 7th seed for the playoffs, even though they had such a rough November, makes me wonder just how good they can be next year. :)

This only happens if the Rockets get a bona fide top 15-20 player (Paul, Howard, Love, and maybe Aldridge), otherwise there's no way Les would sign off on it...

Right now Lin should start but I think if Beverley improves and surpasses Lin... Lin will still start. It will take a lot for the rockets to bring Lin off the bench as a sixth man. I have faith in Lin to me it's a matter of Lin becoming more of a leader and that means playing over McHale's head sometimes. Parker did it when he was younger to Pop and got benched... Parker still does that sometimes today.

last nite is another bad nite for me. living in austin has to pay price. every rox game which inovlved spurs has been blocked so far. i had to use an online stream to watch. the quality is too bad for me to focus on the game.

anyway, i didn't go through every post on this thread. i don't know how many ppl have same thought as mine. the biggest move and the winning move is made by mchale. he eventually switched defense on tony. in 4th period, tony was too much for lin first and then for bev. mchale made a right adjustment of putting parsons on tony. that seems to work at least from tony not being able to scoring. it may also be part of tony being tired after attacking and attacking. i gave this win to mchale for sure.

But the problem is McHale's not Pop.

that was a gutsy win. down by 4 with 90 seconds left and they sustained a 6 and a half minute drought without a field goal and a 10-0 run by Tony Parker.

some questionable calls on either end ended up contributing to a BIG team victory.

Lakers and Warriors play tonight in Oakland. huge playoff implications for 6-8.

Sort of, he gets himself in bad position and reaches, he needs to learn to lay off at the right times, and to move his feet to get in better upright position.

He will get it with playing time, Scola had problems too and he was a veteran already when he started playing.

All these "fans" in awe over Beverly's "GREAT" game...calling for him to start over Lin, would be ripping Lin for having a night with ONLY 11 pts and 2 ast.

Lin had an off night. What do you get from Bev on an off night? 0 pts and a 2 week stretch of 10% shooting.

I would honestly rather have a Harden-Lin-Bev tandem than just a Harden-Lin tandem. There is a reason why there is a bench after all.

Bev doing good is good for the team. I'm sure Lin agrees.

This game shows you exactly Lin's limitations and inconsistency. When Lin can't do his straight line penetration and/or make his outside shots there's nothing else he can really do. Also, Lin doesn't know how to play with contact driving to the basket like Parker or other point guards in this league can. There's really not much to say. Lin's offensive game is too limited and inconsistent. On defense, he not a very good on the ball defender. It's not easy to stay in front of Parker, so that's why you must apply pressure to make him pass it up before he penetrates. And if he was able to get by, continue to pester Parker so he doesn't completely break free to the basket. Beverley was able to do that and other things and help the Rockets win. Lin? Not so much. Lin admitted after the game he didn't do much on either end and that's not being humble but the raw truth. Lin's specialty is team defense and help defense but he's doesn't do a good job as an on the ball defender.

What the heck was McHale doing playing Lin and Beverley together. Lin can't guard Ginobli and he can't shake Ginobli loose on offense either. It was a big time mismatch and disaster waiting to happen. Thank goodness McHale got Harden in their and put Lin back on Parker. Even when Lin was on Parker down the stretch, the boy was just a wreck. Lin single-highhandedly squandered the lead. He should be embarrassed the way he guarded Parker. Lin needs to sit his weak butt down and reflect how he can play better on both ends of the floor, not for 3 games in a row here and there, but the entire season. He can have bad games but he's just an unreliable player. If I was coach, I would give Beverley as much playing time.

Also what is up with his dumb turnovers. Lin was just a momentum killer in this game. He needs to stop playing like trash or else he needs to go to the bench and stay there.

what kind of business? you seriously think people will watch rocket games if they're losing?

look, i'm glad there's a viable backup for lin in beverley. that's VERY good for the team. but it's disrespectful to lin and the TEAM to act like lin hasn't done jack this whole season and the only reason for him playing is for "marketing" reasons. if he sucks, no one will watch. fact. are people tuning in to watch yi jalian?

if lin hit a few more shots last night and not have parker go off on him for 6 straight points, he would've finished up the game and they probably would've won. if last night was a good game for beverley, then lin's floor = a decent game for beverley. i'd take my chances with lin every night, unless he was just totally ineffective like last night.

Imagine if Lin has done that, the board will be full of it.

that is a typical case from one end to the other end. how many pts ginobali scored on lin? he is humble but it is not an excuse for a fan to use as a evidence to prove your point.

do you know why mchale thought parker has a MVP season. tony not only put his show on lin but also on bev until mchale put parsons on him.

Lin should really watch Tony Parker, another guy without a decent 3pt shot, but with a great midrange game.

Lin could learn tons from how TP plays the game, that is exactly the style he should be playing.

lin has a decent mid range jumps. i don't know why he uses very little. he spent alot on layups. it's tough to play a whole game with this style. this is my observation. tony has better fadeway jumps then lin. it helps tony to avoid of being blocked. I guess this might be lin's concern.

If Lin made a game saving block then he'd get a ton of praise. But I don't think I've seen a chase down block from Lin this year and he's played a helluva lot more minutes than Beverley.

I thought during that 10-0 sequence there was a really bad blocking foul called on Lin where he had position and a questionable call where he looked to have blocked Parker. I think if either of those go our way, Lin would have stayed in. I think Beverley only did slightly better on TP in that he didn't get called for fouls, but TP still made shots. Parsons did make a difference in that he forced passes.

I don't recall Ginobili burning Lin badly. There was one 3 he gave up where he didn't recover fast enough after being screened.

Lin did have a couple of really bad turnovers though. Bev did play better this game and if it continues, I'd agree with more minutes for him. Lin needs to use that as motivation to be more consistent.
