So, for the regular members who wonder why there are so many LOF and why the discourse gets heated, here's my unbiased hypothesis: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=7771707&postcount=49
This proves you're a LOF. Just stop already. If you were a real fan you would know the difference between a win vs SA and a win against the Toronto. And must you lie on your father just to troll? Sad bro
CAN'T BELIEVE WE BEAT THE SPURS. YES. who cares about Lin / Beverly. Lin is a good player and he will be our starter PG in the playoffs and in several more seasons to come. Beverly is an excellent player and works best coming off the bench. I keep replaying that beverly block to parson's 3. so beautiful to watch!
This is why I don't understand. Lin and Harden were clicking in March prior to the Cavs game, and today was a complete reversal back to the way they played when the team struggled. Harden's trip to the charity stripe was critical to the Rockets win tonight. If the team makes the playoff, there is no telling on whether Harden will be able to get to the line as many time as he normally does during regular seasons.
Great win. I don't really like Mchale's coaching but I admit he did a good job today with the substitutions.
This. Asik made Duncan very average. If Asik had any offensive, he would be a superstar big. That's how good he is on defense.
I know that ill get a lot of flack for this, but the reason we keep going back to pass-the-ball-to-Harden ball from Lin is not because Lin is a passive/aggressive youngster who doesnt know that he plays better shgressive, its because this is what McHale/Sampson wants, for the offense to be even more Harden-centric. The teams biggest successes, imo, have been based on a combination of Lin-ball if you will, and Harden-ball, but McHale seems to keep going back to what has already proven to be fool's gold during our losing streak. And for those of you who mistake a read-and-react offense as the players completely determining what happens, you don't know what you're talking about and I can bet that you've never coached or played organized ball. Lin was not given the green light today unless a play was obvious, e.g. transition or a clear breakdown in the opposing team's defense. Today, the call from up high was to get the ball past half court, if a obvious play was not available, to look for a swing to harden, followed by parsons. Lins job was to stop Tparker. I disagree with that strategy is all. Not hating on mcHale.
To put it another way, Lin wasn't on his game at the beginning, so they minimized his role as Lin has a short leash on him and Lin's mistakes or misses are like an eye sore to most people, McHale included, more so than others. How many times have we seen a player start off bad and come back to finish strong? Lin isn't afforded that chance with McHale.
Usually, I don't agree with Lin benchings late in the fourth. But today, Beverly really came to play and made a few key plays that won the game. Good job, team!
This hocash guy is trolling all of y'all lol. Great win by the Rockets. As others have said before, great coaching job by McHale. He actually drew up a good play for the end of the game, made some great adjustments in the 4th quarter. James Harden.. man what a spectacular game. Unbelievable.
Asik finally gave a post game interview! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/El_mA5bY1kc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Translation:
I had to work hence I missed it. Damn it. by the sounds of it we had then by 3 quarter time but Parker brought them back and almost stole but for some Harden heroics we finally beat them.
You can download the game here http://nbaspot.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=34378&sid=e93c027d4afb69a2126da9292470a656 Download the h264 version by quarters so u don't hit max download limit (and do 4th quarter first to be safe)
Damn. I missed the best game of the season. Harden's game winning shot and Beverly's block. Just the replays were amazing. I wanted to watch it, but I couldn't.
so in the 4th quarter, the spurs mainly run plays for parker and he starts working Lin. Then McHale puts Parsons on Parker the play right before Beverly gets subbed in. Meanwhile, Parker works Beverly for a few plays before they switch back to Parsons on Parker. I wouldn't exactly say this is great coaching here. These adjustments needed to be made earlier? What's the point of subbing Lin if they are just going to switch Parsons on him anyway. Not only do you make your offense weaker, but you burn a young player's confidence.
Hit it!!! I'm glad they stuck to Asik to end the game, but I don't like McHale limiting players to minutes based on FG percentage (except Harden).
