Denver with a healthy Wilson Chandler makes me even more nervous. Lawson, Andre Miller Iguodala, Chandler Brewer, Gallinari Manimal Koufus, Mcgee this team is dangerous and they have Iguodala who can guard Harden as well as anybody in this league. The Spurs may be masters of experience, but they have age to contend with, as well. Plus, they don't have anyone who can guard Harden.
Actually out of my what 15 posts in this thread only 2-3 have even had lin mentioned in it. So you might want to find the other 30 people in this thread who said lin was garbage/trash/ect, because i could find you plenty of those posts. none of which mine contained.
Of course i don't believe you're lame excuse. You decided to randomly comment that you bought League Pass because of Lin, to troll? What? Considering your comments on McHale and the Lin-Bev substitution, I think we can see how much you understand basketball.
MChale did a great coaching job this game, props to him. Props to Smith and Patrick playing great. Bad game for Lin but im not to worried about the future for him. Hope they starting use Brooks tho when outsideshots arent falling for the other guys.
Didn't you say that Lin almost lost the Roxx the game where he had 2 clutch FT the last time in another game?
I would like to see Brooks in the mix also, but I am not sure if it is too late in the season for that to happen. I'm thinking next season we will see him, assuming that he is playing well in practice. Brooks has more offensive fire power than Beverley, but Beverley has more defense and keeps the offense flowing better than Brooks does. I have not seen Brooks play significant minutes in some time, so it is hard to say what he can bring to the table.
In a game weeks ago, yes i did say that. If you want to go on and drag one comment i made weeks even after i made it clear how that was directed, then i dont know what to tell you. You can also find my comments saying how well Lin played in games that he did well, as i gave him props on his good plays throughout the game, but also called him out on dumb plays like i do any of the rockets including harden. i got on delfino tonight for jacking up 3s. i get on everyone when needed. Some of you just like to pick and choose what you see.
It's frustrating to see Lin played so passive today. Beverly took his minutes seriously by keeping attack the rim and earned the play time for the first 3 quarters. Lin on the other hand was setting up campfire with marshmallow at the corner. Granted, neither could do much in the final stretch of the 4th offensively when Harden was taking over, nor defensively when Parker was schooling them, the energy level between Beverly and Lin today was a sharp contrast. On the other hand, McHale should play Lin/Beverly backcourt more. The Rockets were able to take 8 point lead halfway through the 4th because the ball was moving and the players were constantly in motion.
Still too much ISO and not enough ball movement. The switch on Parsons guarding Parker was a great move, as was the Asik screen for Harden's go-ahead shot.
I would actually put Patrick at the one with Brooks at the 2.He can jsut be a catch and shoot guy and the occasional drive and dish. Patrick Brooks Parsons Delfino Robinson would be a lineup that I would like McHale to play with just to give Harden rest.
I saw pretty good ball movement, it wasnt you know to bad Harden is going to get his shots so its understandable. I was just mostly impressed on how he used his timeouts and substitutions this game. Also credit to Delfino for that timeout such a vet move.
Delfino should not put the ball down. I knew he was going to turn it over as soon as I saw him started dribbling. Credit to McHale's reflex for calling the timeout.
From a macro perspective, such as when you are looking back, that's true, from a micro perspective in the moment, it's not. Not just does the human psyche impact the outcome, but events occurring at different intervals creates different option trees.
I agree with your assessment of this game. Lin played a passive game. I love him, but he was below standard for him. If we somehow have to play the spurs in a 7 game series we have no chance if 1) JL is utilized to just sit in the corner and 2) he doesn't play aggressively and attack and then gets bogged down or sloppy. I do think he should be on the court with bev when harden is resting but I think he should be the PG and not the SG! Maximize ball control between harden and lin. Bev is the better spot up 3 point shooter and JL the better floor general anyways.
Lin is a good player but just needs to attack when p.g.s like parker are getting the best of him on the other end. freakn mchale, run some plays. I wish this was the team 2 years ago when adelman was here.
Not sure what makes one a "stats guy". I like stats, and I never understood it when people make arguments like this. The importance of a possession hinges on how the outcome of that possession impacts the probability of winning the game. And that depends primarily on two things: time left in the game clock and current margin.
lin and Bev had this mini 7 point run . I thought that combo was working. But my my tony parker is good!
