i agree. i hate the dood's move where he swings the ball, faking left and right while his opponents arms are spread out. then he brings the wrists underneath the guys arms. automatic foul. anyway, he's a bad mofo with or w/o the refs.
I agree with you on Yao's offence. If Rockets can score more, they definitely win the game. 96:87 Rockets win.
Not quite optimistic... I wonder how Cato and Mot can limit Tim Duncan. May be Rox can hack-a-Tim to gamble for Duncan missing freebies. KH
good, 70% think we r going to lose. My take Rox 22 Spurs 21 Rox win this game at final second by Spoon's 42 yards touch down.
If San Antonio has success in shutting down Yao, then we're toasted. JVG needs to prepare well for this game to free up Yao, and everyone on the team needs to be a willing player to make good passes. San Antonio is really beatable if we play the right way. The key is good passing and defense, defense should focus on doubling Tony Parker so he can't operate. Yao has to step up big to shut down the paint and he has to avoid foul trouble. Predication (if things goes Rox way): Rockets 89 Spurs 81 (if things goes away from Rox): Rockets 68 Spurs 104
yao would have to be embarrassed about his benching against the hawks. big game from yao and a continuation of francis's streak. rox win by 5 or less.
We are back on TNT. Rox roll over Spurs in a rout, 94 to 80. SF schools Parker with a triple double and Yao gets his double-double.
awhhmannn you know what. i dont care how we do it but i just want a win check one in our W column, puhlease , ahh thank you come on rockets you know you have it in you its all mental: attitude, confidence, an unrelenting attack, unfrustrated play i predict we win ...be it by 1 by 6 i dont care...lets just win this one THE I-10 RIVALRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! put me in there, JVG, let me talk to the team
Best strategy is for Yao and Cato to just limit Duncan to maybe around 20 points if possible. Spurs' paint defense is comparable to the Rockets' paint defense due to the 7 footers in the middle anchored by Duncan. Steve should do well against Tony Parker. Offense should run through Steve. Yao and Cato just need to stay out of foul trouble.
The next 2 games should be a good gauge on whether this team can make the playoffs this year, Spurs and Lakers will be tough opp at home especially after recent spats betweef franchise and JVG. Looking at the final playoff spot, Denver + Seattle + Memphis + a hard chargin Portland will definetely push Rockets for the final playoff spot. Spurs will be hard to be beat monday, expect a loss by 10 pts. Spurs 85 Rox 75 Rockets will bounce back on wednesday to beat the lakers by 10pts. Lakers 88 Rox 98
We win by 14 points (Going to be like Nostradamus and be a little mysterious by not giving out the exact result.) By the way, I'd pay $100 just to see Yao knock out one of the refs.
Pasox2, Bingo! Was going to post exact thought but you beat me to it. N'vic did a super job of fronting Yao all but negating the low post entry pass - they also trapped Francis almost every time. If we have learned to counter and take advantage of what those defenses give us, we win. Yao at the high post is one of those adjustments - not every time but the majority. In a matchup of the two best NBA defenses, I'm betting final score will be: Rockets 17- Spurs 16 D R
