I dont know about that foul, at first it seemed like a good desicion, but knowing MG he hits the FT's
Typical Steve... Dribble the ball for 15 seconds and shoot an off ballance 3. I don't think he will ever "get it" when the game is on the line.
damn, why cannot SF consider passing the ball on last possesion? 15 seconds is not enough to get a good shot?
Good game, well fought by the Rox, finally they didn't get blown out by the Spurs. Bad play by francis at the end of the game yes, but i'll live with that seeing as though the rox fought back so well in the 4th quarter.
set a freakin pick somebody. steve should've passed but all the rockets just stood around and did nothing. i guess he could've kept driving on horry and tried to kick it out but i don't think a spur would've collapsed down b/c they would concede the two. ****ING A!!! that would've been sweet if it went in. damn fun game, bad ending. hey, i have an idea. SAVE A TIMEOUT EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE VAN GUNDY!!! van gundy can't be pleased with the way it ended? oh really? maybe if you had one of those timeout thingies we could've set up a real play, not steve francis run around a lot and shoot a 3. what is that, the 6th or 7th time we've been out of timeouts? ridiculously bad game manager jvg is.
no timeouts again hurts us. Steve dribbled out the clock, but his ONLY option was a semi-covered Padgett. Should have run a Pick and Roll with Mobely.
I blame JVG, you know that Steve is not capable of making a good decision, so why give him the ball, make him give it up. DD
HOw fitting that steve ends this game the way he has played all season, dribble dribble .... nothing. FRANCIS YOU SUCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!
Ohh! I want to pull my hair out! I bet Van Gundy hasn't said a thing in the locker room. Give them the silent treatment.
Did you guys see the face that Van Gundy made after that iso play francis ran at the end of the game, It was as he was thinking to himself"only a few more days and he is out of here" ?
I was seriously impressed by how the rox played coming down the stretch. Its so nice to watch them play for 5 mins w/o turning the ball over. And Yao was huge tonight, nice game, quiet but very nice.
Sad thing is, Steve is going to get sooo flamed for that final decision. He left it ALL on the court tonight... if not for his hustle, rebounds, and playmaking in the 4th, the Spurs would have won in a route. You think Steve WANTED to just dribble out the clock and shoot an off-balanced three? The only guy who tried to set a pick was freaking Scott PAdgett, who just came in cold off the bench. Where the hell was Pike, Mobley, JJ and Nachbar? (off in the corner wondering how many more wide open 3's they'd miss this season). Regardless... I'm STILL proud of the way this team gutted it out.
