i submit that that was the worst mother****ing jumpball i have ever seen in my entire life. bar none. AND THE b*stard GOT TWO CHANCES AT IT. finally a guy yao might beat in a jump ball and the ball never gets above either guy's elbow! and then horry hits a 3 out of it. in a close, low-scoring game like this, that stuff matters and the refs just threw 3 points away for us. i can't believe crap like that stands. admit you are an incompetent piece of crap who somehow can't throw a ball straight up in the air more than 3 feet and do it over. you already did it once, admit you suck and do it again instead of costing one team 3 points. friggin' pathetic. i'd fire anyone who has all day to practice throwing a ball in the air and can't do it on two tries.
I'm gunna have to disagree with that one. Maybe in games agains the Rockets... but overall, Pau, once one of my Fav. players, is just downright kickinthefaceable
Well that's what is called consistency, right? Just kidding. That's a known fact that he has a lot to improve, and he can't play a fast-pasted gun-and-run game (even Shaq can't). That's why he's still Yao Ming, otherwise he would be the Dream, right? He simply won't be able to make noticable changes overnight. Night in and night out, we will still have the same complaint. all we can do I guess is to hope he can make those limited minutes count and improve his condition over time.
Spurs have players who play as well as they are getting paid. Rockets obviously have players who are underperforming bigtime in relation to the contracts. Is there any wonder why the Spurs always kick Rocket ass?
okay i have a theory on yao and jumpballs, those two jumpballs with horry...for you guys that saw, recorded or pvr'd it...watch it again, the referee does not throw it high enough for yao... im looking at the replay here, the ball doesn't even come up to yao's elbow (when he has his arms up) when it gets thrown up... this is a flaw that may not lie entirely on yao. it has been said yao is not a leaper, fine, but man, it is hard to win a jumpball wacking it out of your face... the refs either got to throw it higher faster...or maybe.. they should drop the ball from the ceiling...yao would win all of them for sure...
I guess that's what great teams do, hanging around with you, the minute they see you lose your focus or get away with your game plan, bang, they hit you fast and strong. Finishing the quarter strong, that's how they ended up with a 11 points lead. Although I can not watch the game, from the score sheet I can the Rockets were rushing their shots and away from offense set and defense assignment again. Sigh.
Spurs is playing Yao one on one (they may be one of the very few teams can afford to do it). Yao has a OK game. But the perimeter players of Houston are having a horrible night. People like JJ are spoiled by all the open shots. Now they don't know how to shoot.
these turnovers are not only ridiculous, its sick and fugly like a mutha. i can't believe pros would turn the ball over 1 out of every 4 possessions.
