This should be stickied because there is an extreme amount of ignorance in CF about MDA's system.

Silas even admitted he would be running the SAME system with some different actions.

Silas even mentioned that the biggest changes will be on defense, less switch everything and more hybrid.

But the last 2 games the Rockets have been playing MORE switch everything and have been most efficient when playing switch.

I think he’ll end up staying. It depends on whether James can put up with Fertitta owning the team. I would explain why that matters, but not in a basketball forum. Harden has to blow off Ferntits. If he can ignore the *******, we could have something great here before the season is over, in my opinion. We’ll really be able to tell after the games count, but tonight got me excited. Maybe James got excited as well. We’ll see soon enough.

"I'm ready right now." - Christian Wood

Guess that elbow abrasion's a thing of the past. :)

But I was laughing at all the reporters questions about Silas offense, when Wood and even Silas clearly stated that Harden was running this offense tonight.

And Harden is still figuring out Silas system and Wood has had even fewer practices than Harden.

Harden and Wood were basically free lancing out there tonight.

It's too bad you do not post more, you are a CF and Clutchcity.net institution.

You should hold e-clinics on CF on Rockets basketball, that is how much I appreciate your knowledge of the game.

    Respect.

I wonder if the Rockets would take James aside and say....ok, we have a deal to trade you to Sacremento ( or wherever) or you could stay here and compete with this team.

But we need you to sign the extension - if James might stay.

Well, for all I know, Dallas might have used that SLOB play too. We certainly can assume that Dallas knew we run that, and had a defense for it

It’s common throughout the NBA. It’s basically taking a triangle set and shifting it to an out of bounds starting point.

Love Christian's confidence. He sort of reminded me of Kobe in that interview, very direct and confident. You can tell he's having fun.

This is why Harden can play in a variety of different offenses.

It sounds like you're making a lot of excuses for MDA. He was stubborn and didn't make easy adjustments when they called for it. Come on, man.

Would he have brought Wood with him?

    No?

    Then no.

I dont know what easy adjustments there were though any situation? Except maybe the LA series? But idk did you see a situation where Westbrook not sucking on either end? Like they based their whole defense around Westbrook. Mike didnt do a good job, but I have hard time seeing any coach win with what we had.

What a debut for Wood! Call me crazy, but outside of KD he might be the best natural fit Harden has ever had next to him. CP3 was a superstar and amazing, but we staggered his and Harden's minutes for a reason. Wood doesn't need the ball and can still play like this. He will feast next to James.
