Great win for our guys! definitley showed heart winning a bak to bak vs the champions. Just imagine when the team becomes more efficient! ( and rafer is not starting)
MOST stupid post of the night !! HOW can you exclude Big Yao as MVP, playing 43 minutes on a back-to-back, contributing 28 points/13 rebounds/6 assists/3 blocks, shouldering the team from beginning to end ??
This is exactly why Adelman is a better coach than Van Gundy. He puts players in a situation to play their best. Bonzi would have never done this with JVG as the coach.
He did it, had the energy to very effectively contain Duncan, and had the energy to ice the game at end against Timmy. MILES away from that Utah game. I'm convinced that game was just an aberration now.
Didn't it take Yao several weeks before he started playing well on back-to-backs last year? I guess it helps that he was able to work on his game and play basketball instead of needing to recover from a broken foot.
what an amazing game! bonzi played great, yao played awesome and the rebounding and defense was incredible...very good win especially on a second of back to back
Anyone catch the Adelman and Assistant coaches having a discussion late in the game? Adelman: We could use Rafer's handling.... Assistant: Would you like me to pull out his FG% for the game, or the season? Adelman: About 2 minutes left, just tell him NOT to shoot. Good gamble!
The Houston Rockets just played a back2back game against Dallas and to come in tonight and beat the champions by 9 is considered a dangerous threat come playoffs!!!
Good going big Yao... couldn't have won without you. Great job on the boards Bonzi grabbing more than the points he scored.
Unlike before, Yao looked pretty good for a 'back to back' game. Thank god we've got the 'spurs killer'--Bonzi.
Yao was huge, especially down the stretch but Bonzi was the MVP tonight, or at least co-mvp (with Yao) what a performance, his offensive rebounds made the difference. Did you see the Rowdies shouting Bonzi during the interview ! Well deserved !
