He "establishes his will" when the jumpers are going down, like in Utah. When they're not, he lays bricks, like he did yesterday. He wasn't even making his layups consistently yesterday.

That's why Yao needs to be established, but Duncan is no chump and it will be hard to score on him.

I say they bounce back in convincing fashion.

Like STML said the matchups are really good for us.

I have a feeling that even if we are not shooting lights out.(which I think we actually will)I see us as having plenty of energy....... really being up for this game.

All this despite learning the new O.

Should be fun to watch Scola here too.

The Rockets aren't going to lose both of these games.

Going to the game tonight, woohoo!

We win 90-86 as Yao's anger carries over and Bonzi does his thing. I think Chuck should be guarding Duncan, not Scola. The refs won't call as many flops against Tim. Ain't gonna chant for Stevie. If he really said Rafer's "gonna get exposed", I'd like to see him do any better against TP. Let him earn his way back onto the court in practice.

    Rockets can win if:
    1. We get a average game from T-Mac and Yao
    2. Wells gets at least 10 pts and 7 rbs
    3. James hits 4 3's and gets 4 assists
    5. Scola gets 10 pts and 6 rbs
    6. Battier hits 3 3s.

All these things are very doable. The guys just have to go out and get it done. If so we win. Last night the role players did not get it done. James shot bad, wells shot bad, and scola didn't even get boards or score. Easily fixable things.

I don`t think we are quite there yet to expect to win. We are already really good but not stable enough, Yao is still trying to find his new role, and our bench is too inconsistent. If most of our guys can bring their a game we should win, but I don`t expect it... November will we tough but we will be roling from December straight to the finals...

We blew them out last year with a sorrier team, so I expect a monster win. I guarantee it, or your money back!

The Rockets will win if the bench has a good game. Tmac and Yao will get doubleteamed, especially Yao.

Rockets take this one 102:85, after learning the lesson.

    Yao go 35 points with Tmac's 24.

I think Duncan will defend Yao, and Yao won't be doubled.
Bowen will defend Tmac, and he won't be doubled either.

If all else fails, you know you can always listen to the give live on NBA Audio League Pass....and it is free this year. Just go to nba.com and click on Audio League Pass at bottom of page. You can then click on Houston Rockets and get the Houston announcers. It isn't as great as actually watching....but it is sure better than nothing!
    GO ROCKETS!!!

To win Spurs, Rockets have to play a perfect game.

I remember Rockets played a perfect game last season. We beat Suns, and got homecourt advantage.

Although I do believe our entire team will play well at home, Tmac will have to pick his game up from where ever he left it (he didn't take it to Dallas yesterday) to give us a sure chance of winning tonight.

Give Yao some more shot attempts, and can we please stop subbing in Wells and Hayes late in the game when it matters most? Hayes can't avoid fouling and Wells is just...Wells.

    Anyways, Rox by 10

I can live with Chuck Hayes late in the game - his critical charge that he drew against Utah in the playoffs cinched that for me. But I agree with you that Yao needs to get fed more. I'm also curious to see how the team does on the second game of a back-to-back. That was a serious weakness for the Rockets last year. Hopefully the increased bench depth plus spacing will help. Also, because it is a back to back, there might be a small chance of Steve Francis picking up minutes to minimize fatigue. I'm not sure that it will happen, but there is a chance. Looking forward to the game!

Bonzi scores 20; SF3 hits the winning shot and TD gets thrown out of the game for picking a fight with Steve Novak. Rockets 71 SA 70 :D :D :D
