Thats the way the nba is. The guys that go to the rack with force and aggression always lead the league in ft's. The jump shooting perimeter players dont. Thats why Howard, amare, james, kobe, wade all go to the line 10 times a game.

how is yao playing bad, when they can't even find a way to give him the ball? Might aswell start chuck hayes and let yao rest.

WTF HAPPENED to Yao Ming's turnaround jumper?

I don't think i've seen it once this season.... i've been seeing it less and less and less the past 2 seasons before this one. He's over 50% on these shots, but now it seems all he does is pass the ball out when he's backing his man down 1 on 1.... not even a turnaround jumper at least!

this is really pissin me off! it's not that he's not getting enough touches, it's himself giving up on his 1 on 1 and passing out.

Tell that to Dwight Howard and the other Centers guarding him when we develop a good lead.

you picked out a few games, sure. each team plays 82 games a season. what about the other games? the games you listed will stick to your memory more because that's what happened. you won't remember the wins as much, but rockets won more games playing mostly Yao ball. what about that?

I think the reason why the momentum shifted was because SA stopped going through Duncan. Greg realized Duncan was having a crappy game and so he just relied on his guards.

Duncan will be playing much better in the 4th.
Yao will most likely give us another 4th quarter collapse if Rockets can still hold the lead.

duncan is a post player...thats yao's strength on defense...yao is good at defending the post...yao struggles against quick athletic centers or centers that roam in the perimeter and shoot 3s.

Yao's never been great at jumpers, statistically, last year he was about 39% if memory serves.

Did people really expect us to keep a 20 pt. lead against the Spurs the whole game?

That would basically mean we shot lights out the whole game. That isn't going to happen in an NBA game very often.

that's because when we win, we do more than just trying to force feed yao everytime. When we are able to do that, from time to time, yao wins games for us.

BUT, if the team, like spurs, is doing a good job denying him the ball, we will lose big leads if we keep force feeding, because we will usually end up turn the ball over, or take a bad shot at the end of the shot clock after not being able to get him the ball. And that's exactly what happened in ALREADY 3 GAMES this season when we blew a big lead.

maybe learn the lesson from defeat?

thats gunna be the perimeter players job, to know when to feed yao and not force feeding yao into turnovers. and know when to take penatrate and shoot the ball.
