Agree. when we had a 19 point lead, why not let fresh bench play? Just like the preseason Miami game. It could easily be a blown out. Even if the bench lost 10 of the 19 lead points, we se can have a well-rested starter to back them up.

If we continue to play the exhausted starter, like we did today, and lost 10 of 19 leads, will any coach dare to replace the exhausted starter with the fresh bench.

Our coach is kind of stupid.

That's an intriguing question everyone wants to know yet everyone seems to have an answer. :)

I'll start off by saying Spurs' D played a big part, but Yao was somewhat lackadaisical.

This is a good point. JVG is stubborn and its cost us games. Im sure Novak's shooting could have helped when we couldnt buy a bucket.

FOR F_CK SAKE!!! SOMEONE SLAP THE COACH WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH THIS GUY!!!!!

YOU HAVE A 19POINTS LEAD CAN'T YOU USE BENCH PLAYERS?

JVG DOES NOT UNDERSTAND HUMAN BEINGS, HE SHOULD GO COACH ROBOTS!!!!

WHEN YOU LEAD BY 19 POINTS EVERY STARTER WOULD LAYBACK AND WAIT FOR THE FINAL WISTLE!!! YOU HAVE TO USE ROLE PLAYERS WHEN YOU LEAD BY THAT MUCH BECAUSE THEY WANT TO COMPETE AND WILL GIVE 100% UNLIKE STARTERS WHEN LEADING BY THAT MUCH WOULD ONLY USE 60% EFFORT!

GOD DAMN IT I CAN'T BELIEVE HE DOESN'T USE VSPAN AGAIN~ AT LEAST HIS DEFENCE IS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY BETTER THAN RAFER (NO OFFENCE TO RAFER).
WE ARE SH_T SERIOUSLY, EVEN WITH THE PREVIOUS 4 WINS I BELIEVE ANYONE IN THE BUILDING COULD FEEL WE WON IN SUCH DIFFICULT FASHION!!!

DOESN'T JVG EVER LEARN? DOES HE KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH HUMAN BEINGS - ROCKETS ARE NOT ROBOTS FOR CRIST SAKE!!!!!

Just got back from the game, few things i noticed.

I really liked the fact that T-mac really drove to the basket a lot more this game not only creating shots for others but drawing fouls.

Yao just had an off game shooting. Towards the end it had to be fatigue for everyone when the shots were not falling.

I was dissapointed in Luther Head's decision making and shot selection down the stretch. I thought it really cost us some momentum.

JVG DOES NOT HAVE GUTS WHEN IT COMES TO IMPORTANT GAMES!!! USE YOUR ROLE PLAYERS FOR A CHANGE!!

REMEMBER IN PRESEASON HOW WE HAVE ROLE PLAYERS PLAYING 2ND HALF? REMEMBER HOW CONFORTABLE WE WIN? I KNOW SEASON GAMES ARE DIFFERENT BUT YOU CAN'T EXPECT TMAC/YAO/RAFER/HEADS/BATTIER TO HAVE HOT SHOOTING WHEN PLAYING THEM 39MINS EACH ON AVG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Totally agreed.

Some of those so called "fans" are truly amazing. If this game was played a week ago, many of them would be happy we actually had a chance against Spurs. It is tough to be a Rockets player as they have way too many clueless "fans".

Anybody know how many minutes rafer played tonight?

If Van Gundy refuses to play VSPAN any minutes, this team is going to need another backup point guard to take some of those minutes off of Rafer. If he continues to log those kinds of minutes over the season, it will take a toll on his shooting.

Typical game where a team is on fire, gets a big lead, and relaxes. It happens. Basketball is a game of runs. I am glad to see McGrady hit his stride a la the old T-Mac... hopefully that continues. When Tmac and Yao can put together good games together and the supporting cast supports, we're contenders.

0-3 against contenders, not including dallas and heat.

Novak & V-Span will never see daylight as long as JVG as our head coach.

9 points in 4th quarter is just unacceptable.

It seems to me that Yao usually has an off game after playing Shaq. He took quite a beating last game with scratches on his arms, and elbows to his head. We really could have used Bonzi tonight when Tracy and Yao went cold. Jho actually played a good game, especially the first half. This would have been a tough one for Hayes against 7 ft. Duncan.

None of those are PGs VSPAN is..
None of them are 3pt pros, Novak is..

The story is: Rafer can't D up Tony, or Udrih,

3pters are the best way to stop the other team's comeback!
    Yet we don't have steady.

Would it be unfounded to ask those of you who do nothing but complain to leave?

If you are a fan, then cool, stick around, but keep your complaints to yourself unless they are expressed in a civilized manner with all words spelled out completely and all exclamation points deleted.

I may be a Rookie Houston fan, but I have been a fan of basketball since I was probably a few weeks old (as my birthday is at the end of February and I am sure my father forced me to watch March Madness as soon as my eyes opened).

A real fan objectively sees what happened in a game and comments about it. They do not rant. They do not bemoan the existence of players on the court. They do not type in all caps and annoy other fans. They do not throw themselves on a snowpile half naked until the coach does what they want. Believe me.. I live in Kentucky and there are few crazier basketball fans than those of the UK Wildcats.

So I know that some of you belong in that group of crazies and its just distasteful to read through all your whining and complaining to get to the intelligent postings of real fans.

Perhaps if we were one game out from playing in the championship and we blew a lead like this one, I would allow for your venting. But for crying out loud we are 8 games into the season. Out of 82. There is plenty of time for complaining later. So please cut it out or go away.

I apologize to those intelligent fans who were forced to read through my whining, but I just want people to show some appreciation for a team that is leaps and bounds ahead of what they were at the end of last year.

This team will gel. This team will be ready the next time they play the Spurs. And JVG will figure out how best to utilize the group of players that he has. Of that I have no doubt.

tis true that there's still many games left, but it still irritates me how the rox constantly fizzle out towards the end...
