TMac played great but failed to ice the game when we were up by 15 and he started rushing 3 points instead of taking time from the clock and settle the offense. When we were by 15, we rushed like 3 times in a row instead of showing patience like the did in the first half.

    The team QUIT !!!!

    THEY QUIT COMPETING !!!

Watch the start of the 3rd quarter, even when we were up 19, the Spurs were running around and our team was coasting.

Then when things turned around, and the momentum switched, we panicked.....

They attacked the rim, we settled for jumpers...STUPID...STUPID...STUPID !!

Make sure you don't jump back on the bandwagon in next good game.

Rockets are just not mature enough, and it's a hard lesson at good time for them.

so with no rafer and no luther, who wold you like to play? those are our only PG's. novak would've **** his pants against the spurs physical defense. padgett shot the ball well anmd rebounded VERY well tonight.

T-mac only got 4 points in the second half. We still don't know how to win a game when we have a big lead. Mentality and Experience.

    Why we lost?

    1) Yao missed every sissy layups, every sissy jumpers. FG % 7/22, 6 rebounds?
    best center? what a joke!

    2) JVG was not coaching at all.

Good lesson for the team, they're still a notch or two below the best in the West.

No... yours is better... tell us what JVG should have done to prevent the comeback? Put in Novack and Kill Bill?

The only reason the comeback even started was because Pop threw his hands up in the air, took out Duncan and Parker, and countered with Udrich and Horry... the Rockets figured the game was "theirs" at that point, and mentally relaxed (collapsed).

If its JVG's fault for having such a mentally weak team, he gets the blame... I just think players need to be held accountable as well when they ALL collapse so magnificiently (while the Spurs elevated their game once they saw that).

    hayes was sorely missed.

second half, the rebounding was really really not good. no second chance points in the 4 th quarter. one and done.

If Yao shoots his percentage from the field (makes 11 shots tonight), the game would only be tied (unless he makes one plus a foul shot).

The Rockets were up by almost 20. Alot of other things besides Yao collapsed. I don't think its all JVG but it's not just Yao shooting poorly either. TOTAL TEAM crappy effort.

    Padgett?

What the heck he was in for almost the entire 2nd half?Gundy lost his mind or what? As soon as he was in, Spurs made come back, and he still stayed in, and we never scored.

Manu, man I hate his flopping. And the whold world knows the spurs was going to shoot the treys except the rockets.

    Inexperience exposed.

The Rockets had a big lead. That part was great, it was the third quarter where the Spurs had their subs in that kill the Rockets. JVG should have not gone small and made the Spurs pay by going down to Yao more often(Don't care if he was having a bad game). Better yet when the Spurs were making their run he should have called some timeouts to regroup. All in all the Rockets still don't have Bonzi and JVG should give some minutes to V-Span and Novak..

we need to learn that beating crappy teams like nicks and heat doesn't mean you are great. just means not bad, that is what we are rightnow not bad team.
We lost this game due to Yao's incompetence to adjust.

why the hell dont we use V-Span, Novak, and Wells

head is only effective for clutch time but not for long periods, same for padgett, and wells would murder spurs single-handedly

    let me say it again:

    .381 fg% (32-84)

    .556 ft% (10-18)

those are the only numbers that really matter

If we shot even a little bit better:

    .416 fg% (35-84)

    .722 ft% (13-18)

we would have won by 1 (we lost by 8)
