Watching leads evaporate or opponents leads extended at the beginning of every 4th quarter is annoying.

I'd have agreed with you before the season began, but looking at the field right now, they may do better than the 6-7 seed.

The Spurs when they get in their groove will be a lot better than the Rockets, barring a trade. So will the Clippers and the Warriors.

But outside of those three teams, the other WC playoff hopefuls are likely the Thunder, the Jazz, the Lakers, the Trail Blazers, and the Grizzlies. I like the Rockets' chances against any of those teams, head-to-head or ranking-wise.

I still think the Rockets are a mediocre team, but if they can stay healthy and competitive, they could well end up with the fourth seed and home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

We need a SF and another big man. A PG is not that necessary.

this was actually my point. the rest of his game is so terrible that he better be a can't-miss knockdown shooter to compensate. but instead he's incredibly streaky from game to game. and it's not even so dependent on the competition or how he's covered, i mean several of his misses tonite were completely clean looks with no one near him. for $80M, when he brings nothing else to the table and is a glaring liability on the defensive end, homey should at least make his frickin wide open shots.

I think it's dependent on the competition and he's streaky as **** as well. The other games he hasn't played well was 2x with Dallas (against Barnes who owned him), 1 against Cavs (where TT, Love, Lebron basically ever PF they had clowned him), and 1x against spurs. He was money every other game. So to me Anderson seems more like a "win more" player, when your team is gonna win anyway thats when you can count on him to perform well. But when you're up against good teams he sucks really horribly, gives up everything on D, can't get his shot off cleanly, doesn't rebound. There were several possessions Parker was torching the Rox because he'd call a pick, Ariza would get delayed due to the pick and then Anderson would just let him waltz into the lane. Ariza is a quiet dude, but any other guy would've told Anderson off by now considering how bad he was.

I can forgive it if he's making 7M like Brewer, or even 10M. But he's making 20M! 20M for a win more guy wtf is this the worst signing of the summer or what? Totally wasted Harden's epic performance tonight smh.

you have to accept the ryan anderson signing means the rockets care more about scoring than winning. sure we overpaid, but its not like stars were lining up to play for the rockets with all the negative media coverage about them and harden. 2017 fa is weak too.

I just watched the highlights of the game, it had a lot of intensity. The Rockets made a lot of plays down the stretch and dominated the highlights but the spurs and especially Manu, kawhi and Aldridge came to play and won it for them in the 4th. still just judging by the highlights you would think the Rockets won this game meaning they didn't get the same calls they got in San Antonio which is what I expected and the reason why I skipped this game.

Too bad Parker came back in shape. With Beverley our chances would've been better, Tony's and Manu's drives hurt a lot, especially when Capela was not on the court. But I'm not mad about this loss, the Spurs are the Spurs and our guys still need to find each other.

Talking about b2b, in the early stages of the season a back to back can be more serviceable than a few days off, because you stay in rhythm. In the first half it was obvious, that the Rockets needed some time to get on track.

Rockets get the tip to start the game. Brewer takes a wide open 3 to start the game and he misses. I still say that any team that has Brewer as a starter can not be that good. Beverly will come back shortly and hopefully, they can put Brewer back on the bench where he belongs.

This loss is very promising to me. For Gods sake we played ennis and brewer.

When they will be getting no playing time we will be an elite team.

I'm curious to see how we'd do with MonstaTrezz alongside Capela/NeNe. I'm thinking we'd be better defending and rebounding, and more efficient with our offense.

Debating and discussing about how the rockets can get better is like cheering on your pet turtle in a race against cheetahs and rabbits, I see it so pointless and a waste of time. Maybe one day I will regain that passion again.

At least Gordon made the game more enjoyable in the 4th quarter. He was on fire! The positive is that we came close, even with Brewer and McDaniels giving us a big goose egg for points contributed, and Anderson having a horrible night with that big 1 out of 13. My hope for the future is that Nene and Dekker get more involved offensively, because we can't afford to lose a lead when the bench is in. I'm anxious to see Beverly back in the rotation and Brewer back out of the starting lineup. The day Clint learns to finally make free throws will be worth throwing a ticker tape parade and screaming to the rooftops. It really isn't "Rocket" science is it? Will someone please teach that boy soon? Granny shots are still an option.

We lost this game because Anderson was ice cold. If he hit at least 40+% of his shots last night we're singing a different song around here.

Another when the heck is Brewer going to show up. He's not bringing anything to the table. Coach needs to realise this and either start KJ or Dekker. I really don't understand this fascination these coaches have with this dude.

Or is Morey forcing them to play him.

Had he hit 20% of his shots last night we win. He shot 7% last night.

have to agree, plus if he is hitting his shot, the effect to other players will be positive too, they will be less pressured
