I have a good feeling that Alpi will be in the running for MIP this season

 

Preseason and missing stars of course, but the Rockets looked on brand tonight.

Everyone did what they were supposed to do.

 

Well gentlemen it’s been fun, but 5:00 am comes quick so I must say odabo.

 

People just sucking Sheppard's D so much they looked down on other prospects like Risacher and Castle. I told y'all length and size are very important but nobody believed me.

Btw I still like Sheppard but if objectively speaking as the third pick he has sucked so far. His production is comparable to Tyler Kolek who got drafted in the 2nd round. Sheppard might have a rough rookie year similar to Jabari.

 

Cam's body language is quite concerning.

 

OK, gotcha. Here are the guys on here that I've actually seen called a bust....Alpy, Jalen, Brooks, FVV, Jabari,Tari,Cam,Holiday.....I think it'd be easier to name who hasn't been dumped on..especially among the young core. JMO.

 

Yeah, he has not looked good this offseason at all. It looks like his game hasn't improved and he looks like he is moping. Hoping it's nothing.

 

In Houston and already have dishnetwork latino for futbol. Maybe spacecity network should offer a standalone stream.

 

In addition to 1st SL game, Reed Sheppard 3pt shooting: 3/24


Ridiculous

 

If you don't recognize that Reed is a better ball player than Holiday regardless of 3p% then idk what to tell you. Also if you think he is actually going to be a 25% shooter then I have a bridge to sell you

 

They said tonight was a dress rehearsal and Reed and Amen were the first two off the bench for Jalen and Dillon. Reed and Amen played alongside Fvv so I guess if you want to call Amen a guard then Reed was the small forward? Regardless, currently out of the pick and roll Reed is the second best decision maker on the entire team after Fvv, so no he is not losing his spot to anyone.

 

Alpy, Tari, Cam, and Holiday have never been called a bust. Thats cuz they arent lotto picks and have out produced their draft spot.


People were calling Amen a bust after he played like a scrub in SL and got injured but Amen only played 2 games then when he came back he beasted so those guys got shup up quick.

The ones who got called a bust are our high draft picks JGreen and Jabari. If these two get criticized so much just because they are top 3 picks, then Reed Sheppard also deserves this kind of scrutiny.

Do you still fundamentally fail to understand why I don't like high volume low efficiency shooting?

If Sheppard shot 25% on 20 shots, I'd be all over him for it.

When you only take a few shots all game, it's not the same. He just didn't have much of a role in this one, he wasn't detrimental to the team, he didn't take the game over. It was just a solid support role type game.

I would have liked it if they ran something for him at some point tonight, but they didn't, and that's fine because the team was coasting to an easy win and there were other hot hands. Jalen shot VERY well tonight, Sengun was bullying people in the paint.

That's why IMO he's such a good pick for the Rockets, he's willing to take a step back when it's not his turn to cook and just support those who are hot.

 

Why is 25% the standard when people were telling me he is gonna be better than Curry?

Whether or not RS is a better ball player than Holiday he is still not playing up to par and needs to pick it up. Holiday is a journeyman and has no place in a contender rotation outplaying him is not that hard.

 

He had a lot to say about Reed during the draft and wants to celebrate now because he knows he won’t be able to during the season. Weird thing is Reed didn’t even play poorly tonight, I can’t think of a single bad play, just didn’t have that many opportunities because we had other players going off.

 

I’m way more worried about Whitmore than Sheppard right now. Don’t know what’s wrong with him but he’s got to wake up ASAP

I remember games when Green shot little on low FG during his flunk last year and you still roasted him. There were games he made up for his low fg with FT attempts and you still hated him cuz you said his FG% was bad.

Didnt you also hate on Jabari for low FG saying he is not producing like a top 3 pick?

Not surprised you are breaking your own rules for Sheppard now.

25% FG 2/2/2 in 20 minutes is bad. Thats just a fact.
