Bev is exposed for what he is, a sub-average bench PG, whenever Harden or Howard aren't clicking. His true strength is hitting the open 3 (which is more than I can say for Lin right now, that guy's 3 is gone) and defending Jrue Holiday and injuring star players.
He was being aggressive and running plays until Bev and Howard came back in. Then he went back into clear out and stand in the corner.
Ha, never fails. All the national games, halftime = talking about Dwight Howard in the post (and it's usually never positive). He is who he is. Phil Jackson(pre-game): His game has gone backwards since 2009. ... His post game has not developed. I thought he would have advanced his post game with McHale but I'm not sure that has happened. Fox: I saw Duncan doing Tim Duncan. ... Age is just a number. ... Efficiency comes with simplifying the game. Sit on the block, post up, yeah better post passing but once you get it, be decisive. Greg Anthony: If (Howard) were any slower, he'd be moving backwards. Duncan made the statement. Howard was frustrated and got outclassed. Webber: Greg made a great point: you have to be able to have guys who can make passes into Dwight. Sometimes Dwight doesn't have that. He's trying to make things too complicated when I watch him.
Lin is half the reason we're still in the game tonight. What game are you watching? Bev is playing terrible, so is Parsons and Howard. McHale's fingerprints are all over our offense, and our offense is terrible as designed--with making Parsons and Bev the playmakers while Harden is out. The only time we started heating up tonight was when Bev went out and Lin started playmaking. Otherwise, we'd be down 15.
Lin is a systematic guy, he follows instructions and gameplan from the coach, which is why he was able to fit into the dantoni system so well. McHale's system is that when bev or parsons is on the bench, Lin will be handed main ballhandler role, but when they come back, Lin is reduced to a spot up shooting guard. Its just how the system works, Lin is simply following McHale's gameplan too systematically.
Man stfu every damn post trying to discredit Beverly. Get your a** on the court and guard Parker and mills then
I think the inconsistency can be due to who their opponents are. Howard is not Shaq, Hakeem, or even Yao. He lacks both size and offensive skills. Centers with both size and bulk can affect his game, and if they get help to double or triple him, it affects his game even more, and thus the team's system starts to break down.
people quick to bash lin, but don't give credit for that 3. you are a disgrace as a rockets fan. be happy that points are being put up on the board.
