I think we won cause of the HAKEEM is watching court side factor. Thanks Dream! Come to more games! Dream: Hey Tim, I saved money on my car insurance!
Hey, I'm actually one of the guys who's argued that as long as T-Mac can fit into the system it doesn't make sense to trade him. At this point he's damaged goods so it's going to be almost impossible to get back equal value in return on his $20 million dollar salary. On the other hand it sure doesn't look good when he's still in pain after missing 11 games and a whole bunch of weeks. If you had a crystal ball and you knew that he was going to be laid up for a significant percentage of however many seasons he has left you might just get rid of him now for whatever you could get in expiring contracts. He's grimacing during dead balls--that's not the same as a prediction from Nostradamus but that's definitely not a good sign. And let's be brutally honest. T-Mac has been in the league for a lot of years, he's got a lot of miles on him and it's almost certain that his injury problems are going to get worse, not better, as he grows older. Look at where he's had problems: knees and back. People want to see him drive to the basket. He did that in today's game and he hurt himself. If the Rockets can't do anything in the post-season this year then how optimistic are you as to an aging McGrady being able to play consistently over the next couple of years while the Rockets master Adelman's system? I don't think that the arguments about his lack of leadership or whatever are all that compelling, and he's definitely hated for whatever reason by a lot of fans. But aside from all of the garbage there is a legitimate question as to his health and, like it or not, that raises legitimate questions about trading him. And frankly the fact that he's still in pain after missing 11 games doesn't raise a lot of optimism in me.
Awesome work as usual. On the second highlight where Luther hits a three, watch Bowen strategically stick out his left foot. Dirty mf almost injured Luther. Sometimes, Bowen jumps to get a hand up in the shooter's face, and in those instances he can make the (weak) argument that he's not really trying to stick out his foot, rather his foot ends up under the shooter naturally since he's landing from a jump towards the shooter. Well, in this case, he didn't even jump. What's his excuse for sticking out his foot now? Busted, you dirty no-talent goon!
How come Bonzi isn't out there in the 4th quarter when the Rockets have trouble getting a FG?... Do an offensve/defense alternating sub pattern for Shane in the last minutes. Also, a lineup I liked was at the end of the first quarter: Brooks/Tmac/Shane/Scola/Yao Alternate Bonzi in there for Shane, and you've got a good offensive five.
The way they eliminated Suns was really disgusting. We still have one game with Spurs, hope Rockets beats these NBA junks again.
That's not true. Yao made many cluth plays before including FTs. Last night he was just overly excited after making that nasty jam and he wanted this game too much. I hope we can stop attacking Yao or TMAc from now on and be a true Rockets fan.
I partially agree. But the key problem right now for Scola is he is missing a lot of easy layups. He got be better on that.
I just wonder if any Spurs fan complains Duncan missing so many free shots, including last two close game loss.
Ya, Scola should start now and he should be our third option. Landry should get more minutes. Crowd should always be loud like tonight s game. T-Mac shouldnt be traded cuz as my signature says, he get you to the second round for sure. Yao should play great like tonight. Head shouldnt start anymore. Bonzi should get more the ball on the post. Hayes minutes should be reduced and shouldnt start anymore. Battier should star cuz he brings more defense. Alston shouldnt take lot of shots. He should concentrate more on finding his teammates and making some three s . Brooks should play the way he is playing. Our starting 5 should be: Alston T-Mac Battier Scola Yao
Damn I couldnt watch the game last night, do yall know if there is anyway I can watch the game online
tmac was CLEARLY rusty, but he played within his limits. he handled the ball A LOT in the 4th and that played a huge reason into the low turnovers down the stretch (which were not the case in the last 2 losses). and tmac got yao open for the play that sent him to the ft line down the stretch. tmac will be fine. head was SUPERB to start the game. in fact, he kept us from getting blown out in the first 5-6 mins when everyone had very poor energy. but we didn't hear much from him after that.
I think a lot of people forgot how great of a passer T-Mac is. He made some key plays down the stretch. Just having him on the court makes it easier for our other guys.
Not to mention Tmac played off the ball a few times AND...he ran and got a fast break dunk. As I have been saying.....Tmac back, and this team will take off. DD
i think when teams try to front YAO we should call plays for someone else instead of trying to force it in to YAO, if team front YAO and let say whoever forward is in the game whether it's SCOLA OR BONZI, we should call plays for those 2, I think they have a pretty good low post game....So many times when I see teams front YAO we tried to force it in to him and thus have so many turnovers..it's like the rockets offense only have plays for YAO n TMAC....i think the rockets trying to force it in to YAO too much...if it's not there call another play...we either force it in to him and have a turnover...or sometime we swing it around and try to give it to him again and then 24 second clock expired
I HOPE WE MEET EITHER THE LAKERS OR THE SPURS IN THE FIRST ROUND! Just not Dallas or Phoenix. I feel sorry for the Lakers getting knocked out out the first round. Yes, it already happened this year.
