Yao played big on both ends of the court (except those 3 missed FTs at the end). TMac made some very good passes and provided the team a lift. This game demonstrates that we're still not elite, but at least we kept the game close and didn't turn the ball over.

If this team wants to go to the next level here is what they need to do!
    1. Scola should get most of the minutes at PF.
    2. Brooks and Bonzi should split back up minutes of Alston and McGrady. No Head!!!
    3. Landry should get more minutes. Bye Bye Hayes
    4. Adelman should get a rotation in the last 5 minutes that sticks and quit changing it over and over. That rotation should not include Head or Hayes.
    5. Did I mention bye bye hayes!!

So how did T-Mac look tonight? I only caught the last half of the 4th but it looked to me like he had a pass first, shoot second mentality, which bodes well for the future.

I also want to commend the rotation adjustments made by Adelman this game. Placing Bonzi "Spurmicide" Wells in the starting lineup and bringing Battier and MacGrady off the bench was an excellent decision.

Though Ginobli scored 21 points, Battier did a good job and was the Rockets' best option. And MacGrady seemed to feed off the energy and hustle of the bench rookies, Brooks, Landry and Scola.

And despite the missed FTs, I'm amazed by Yao tonight. The Spurs did everything they could to deny him the ball, and yet he ends up with 21 points, 14 rebounds. A hard earned and well deserved double-double.

That is because your memory only last for two games!!! Anyone else could have better FTs than Yao in Rocket, cluch or non-cluch time?????

He's made some huge FTs at the end of games. But this time, he just plain choked.

    agreed.....

He thought too much from my observation. It is hard to see that happend. He could not let it happen again. Really and Seriously he can not let it happen again.

    R. Alston G 34:03 6-15
    L. Head G 22:39 4-11
    Y. Ming C 39:21 7-10
    C. Hayes F 18:08 0-6
    B. Wells F 16:38 3-4
    S. Battier 34:08 2-6
    T. McGrady 26:59 4-12
    L. Scola 21:51 2-11
    A. Brooks 13:57 1-4
    C. Landry 12:13 3-4

Looking at our FG, we are not really good at all. if it is not Yao, we got no chance of even standing close at the end of the game.

please chill, man. we will be working something out and out team is just looking better and up again.

Let's enjoy this moment and give those guys credits and cheers for Rockets :)

We got lucky with that win - but hey, a little luck, we'll take it for a change.

We had to win this game, but the road is still hard, but now we have to finish up biz this month and if we can do some damage against the last three tough teams we face - 2 wins against seattle and 2 out of 3 against portland, no, and golden state - then I think we can put the philly loss behind us for shizzle.

Great win in a very ugly offensive game. Only SAS can be this ugly offensively. The team is still nervy at the end and I wonder why.
I do hope our guys get over their nerve in the 4th in future because
this would be crucial in playoffs. Landry is a steal and I can see he'll be
very impressive in the future (probably like Amare?)

If u r guarding Boozer+Willams+Ocur plus ak47 under those crazy salt lakers, anyone could be rip apart by their 3D offense....

Our lowest percentage players take most of the shots. Seriously, though, there were a number of horrible offensive possession where we just chucked in the last second of the shot clock.

So being a "great FT" is one to be blamed, while leave the rest of not-so-good-ft shooter at large?

I wouldn't say exceptional, but Yao doesn't normally brick FTs in crunch time.

This was a "feel good" win. The way Landry played, the way Scola was effective even though he missed nearly all of his shots, the fact Yao was efficient against such a good defensive team, etc.

I'm still worried about Tracy fitting into the offense. Sorry, but too often he refuses to move without the ball and often he gets the ball and holds on to it for too long. We'll see.
