I think Yao gets nervous at the end of games. How else do you explain his missed FTs and generally worse play at the end of games than early?

The rockets wanted to win it so badly! They worked harder than the spurs.

stop with the yao is unclutch nonsense. he's been clutch with his FTs for hundreds of games.

rest assured, dude's probably gonna go shoot 500 FTs after the press conference

but WTF didnt you DUNK it YAO!!

defense at the end of the game, hustle by scola and battier, and landry were the positives from this game

    The good side:
    - Role players stepped up. Great hustle plays and defense by Scola, Landry and Battier (except the last play). The offensive glasses and steals by Scola is amazing!
    - T-Mac is back! And he did not force too many shots and made some nice passes.
    - AB is also decent. I thought he runs the plays pretty well. He was abused by Parker though.

    The bad side:
    - Yao's unclutch free throws and his inability to get position in the fronting offense.
    - Chuck Hayes kept on missing point blank layups
    - Rafer forced difficult shots and bricked some ugly floaters!

Anyway, nice win against the Spurs!

Hayes has to eventually lose his starting spot. He was 0/6 on LAYUPS on 3 footers. That's folks, isn't NBA basketball.

The Spurs were healthy, motivated and coming off a tough loss. You rookies forget that we were 7-37 against the Spurs coming into this game. *Any* win against them is good.

These close games under presssure are the ones that will help this team grow and gel. Not blowout wins or wins against scrubs. Then again, that's not happening much either.

That 3rd quarter lead loss was primarily due to Hayes running blown layups drill.

Chuck Hayes is becoming the poster child for, "You don't need to make free throws to be in the NBA. Heck you don't even need to make layups."

Nah, just taking my daughter to the show. I am looking forward to Iron Maiden in May. They will be in Texas during the end of May. I am an old timer Metal Head circa 1965.

his is the first time this season yao missed his cluth free throws dont throw him under the bus..

has everyone already forgotten his free throws in the nuggets double overtime game? what about the clutch free throws in the win against the suns..I'm missing alot but this is the first time in recent memory Yao has missed 2 in a row so don't bag on him

Good to see Landry. I am really starting to like him. It's almost like whereever Hayes comes up short, Landry does not (as far as atheticism goes). There were so many shots that Hayes took (and missed) that I am almost certain if Landry had he would have stuffed it in. Good game. Definitely a confidence builder. Scola 2-11? The whole team minus Yao shot poorly tonight. IT didn't seem like Scola even took 11 shots. It's rare that he shoots the ball like that. However, we still win. Thank God we didn't turn it over a lot and REBOUNDED the ball well. McGrady's presence helped a ton, even though he didn't score that much. Now, let's work on shooting better. GG, Sonics are next. IT's good to get this win at home and also host the sonics monday to let the team know that they CAN win at home after all.

I'm sick and tired of INTANGIBLES. Let's have some tanglible dunks a la Carl Landry.
