Unfortunately, 46 isn't going to be enough in the West for the 8th seed.

We also can't get a defensive rebound when we need it.

I predict this team will finish at 41-41, if they "get it going," and keep it going, otherwise, the win totals will be in the 30's. I don't see the playoffs as likely. With this starting lineup, I don't think even Kobe could take them to the second round. How would you rate four of our current starters compared to other starting players at the same position?

Hayes - PF - bottom tier without question

Alston - PG - bottom tier, maybe bottom

Battier - SF - mid-level to bottom tier

Head - SG - bottom tier

None of these players are competitive with the top players at their positions in the West. Not even close.

Memo to Adelman - "Bottom" players don't get you to the "Top," no matter what your system is.

I completely agree with your assessments of our starters. Anyone who disagrees isn't in touch with reality.

Can't get a defensive rebound when your Bigs constantly have to stop penetration because the gaurds can't stay with their men and fail to box out as well.

all that matters is if they make the playoffs...do you think 46 wins is enough to make the playoffs?...if so, i'll take it...

    We can win Saturday.

Losing two in a row isn't the hallmark of death if we can run off another 5 strait wins. And that's what we have to do. We need another winning streak, and it has to start Saturday as time is running out.

    Excellent post.

I still believe that we can make the playoff this year. Tmac has to come back soon and play 100%. Yao, Scola, Landry, and Brooks play their games. And, the most important, I hope that Adelman will not make the similar mistakes.

Yes, fa sho. I agree with what Sweet Lou 4 2 said, we have to seriously start a new winning streak. It's ok that we lost these 2 freakin heartbreakers, because when we do make the playoffs, we're not goin to be complaining about these 2 heart breaking losses we had against the hornets and 76'ers. It's just 2 games you guys! Honestly we should chill right now, the rockets did go on a 5 game winning streak, WITHOUT tmac right? And that was because our team got to know eachother and played like a team.

So the question is, when tmac comes back, will he make the team better and will everyone start running around trying to do something or just wait around and let tmac do everything?

Let's keep this secret. So, maybe Morey can pull out a good trade or two with this bunch. :D

btw, Yao needs to set up a AA meeting with this bunch to see what caused their brains fart. Or, we need Mutumbo to biatch slap everyone before they enter the 4th quarter with a lead.

This team will beat the Spurs if T-Mac comes back. But only if we have a healthy T-Mac to run at them.

More expectation, more pain. It's sin to expect more.

Forget about playoff, forget about 76s. If Rocket can beat several elite teams such as Mavericks, Hornets and Warriors in the rest of this season plus T-Mac and Yao stay health, I would be very glad.

Remember last year when the Rockets beat the spurs without TMac. They basically didn't have Yao either because he was in foul trouble the whole game. Rafer and Head played really well. That was really weird
