I am pretty sure JVG and Tmac are waiting for Yao to take a leadership role. It's Yao's choice.

This is how its supposed to happen, become the best team in Texas then the best team in the league. You know I don't know whats going to happen with Yao but more than all the points he scores or all the rebounds he makes, I will remember that he brought T-Mac and Mutombo to Houston.

Ugly but good win. I was disappointed in Yao, the guy can't hold onto the ball. He lost that rebound on the left side when he had space, got his hands on it and got it slapped away. I can see why his teammates might be reluctant to feed him the ball because he definitely has the "dropsies". I am not going to give up hope on Yao because you can't coach him to jump higher but this you have to be able to coach, whats so hard about holding on to a ball, hell put Stickem on his hands before the game.

Someone had the plays mixed up. Sura drove the base line so Duncan came over to help. Yao rolled to the basket and every one colapsed with him. That left Tmac wide open at the 3 pt line beyond top of the FT circle. You have to give credit to Sura to get the ball to TMac thru the long arms of Duncan.

His quad is still hurting but he gutted it out to a tune of 28-5-4 in 45 minutes.

An interesting defensive game. The Spurs looked a little tired from playing back-2-back but I prefer to give our D more kudos for their poor shoot. We scrambled and always made sure to contest every shot. We rebounded great and we made the big plays when it counted.

In all we match up great against these Spurs team. Had Yao been solid early we would have blown them out imho. Tmac was forced to be the man early and Deke played great ball on both ends (great offensive rebounds of offense and great defensive rebounds + blocks shot/intimidation on defense).

    Bring on the Grizzlies!

Actually I think T-Mac is the ONLY choice for the leadership. YaoMing is foreigner and very very hard

It's funny, Spurs fans are refusing to give the Rockets credit. They're saying the Spurs let the game slip away, the Rockets are decent but don't have potential to get better, the Spurs were tired going into the game, they had a letdown, etc.

I could never imagine Yao's patience to get thinner. Maybe he should lose patience with the refs first.

But if Yao could step up, Tmac would be more than happy.
He didn't come here to play with a role player, or a new
    Houston Magic.

T-mac is amazing! but overall, rox as a team is more amazing!!

We out-shoot mavericks and then out-defend spurs! It is like in a dream, very sweet.

Many people think this is an ugly game. I don't think so. It is very intensive, very exciting, and very sweet.

For all the yao basher, we still need the big guy very much!!! T-mac is team leader and an amazing player, but he couldn't do a lot without a really good big guy. Last year's orlando is the example.

But Yao is the ultimate team player. I don't think he minds what his role on the team is as long as they win.

He needs to step up in the future. Otherwise we won't be much
better than a lower-seed playoff team.

Man people are so dramatic. Yao is in his early 20s, I'm not ready to write off his potential to improve.

don't you mean your patience is getting thinner with Yao for not putting up the necessary type of stats that will make you proud as a chinese fan of a chinese player.

Do you think Spurs fans have a bunch of trade Duncan threads now? So why don't we all agree to have a seven-year moratorium on trade TMac/Yao threads. I'll take everyone's silence to mean approval. Thanks.
