for some reason i like the idea of a no-pressure, no consequences game to just kinda relax with before the pressure cooker of the playoffs start. man i'm looking forward to this saturday.

Rest T-mac and Yao and limit the mins of Sura and Wesley. We have 50 wins and our playoff spot is locked. Does not matter who wins this game.

    Every game is important...

Seattle coach Nate McMillan plans to restrict the minutes his key players are on the floor tonight, but Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy has yet to make such a declaration.

The Rockets bring a six-game winning streak going into tonight's game. Even though his starters could use rest, Van Gundy doesn't want to chance losing any momentum.

"I can't tell you who's going to play and how much," Van Gundy said. "It depends on the game. The game is about timing and rhythm and intensity and confidence. We're going to try to sustain that through (tonight) and on into the weekend."

Van Gundy said the main objective tonight is to win. And even though the game has no bearing on the postseason, Van Gundy said he won't rest players simply to keep them from getting hurt.

"If you're so concerned with injury, you would never play your guys," he said. "You would never practice. So, I don't think you can coach fearfully."

you have to play the starters some good mins (22-25) just to keep the rhythm going (otherwise it will be a five day break between games)

Even though this game means nothing in the standings, it will mean something mentally to the team that loses. No team wants to go into the playoffs on a loss. We need to win to keep the streak alive and our confidence high.

That being said, its imperative to keep our stars healthy and ready for Dallas this weekend.

We'll leave it up to you, JVG.

Certainly there's something to play for.

"The Rockets enter the playoffs with a 7 game winning streak" sounds a little bit more daunting than something along the lines of, "The Rockets, winners of 6 out of their last 7 face the Mavs, who are on a 9 game winning streak going into the playoffs."

    Moochie hits a quadruple double.

    30pts 10rebs 10assists 10 TOs

    Rockets win easily.

I'm going tonight! Excited to see turbo........ hopefully Moochie plays good, and I want to see Braggs posterize somebody. I will most likely be the only one giving a standing ovation for the play of our reserves in a meaningless game.. but thats a CF'er for ya..

Close game throughout ... the binch will shine ... Braggs with a double-double at C ... Moochie plays some PF and JVG is like "why didn't I think of that before?"

Expect the Rockets to rest their coach.

Play the starters until they look goofy at the bench everytime down the court.

McGrady will sit this one out due to a sore back. He also did not practice with the squad earlier. Reported by Matt and Adam on 610 at the start of their show.

That's a good move. No use risking an injury in a meaningless game.
