You really don't realize that's the heaviest indictment that can be leveled against a HOF athlete, do you?

But it's bs. Shaq can't do it everynight anymore. His tenure of dominance falls well short of those he's often compared to. And what's really perplexing is he's added nothing to his game in the last six years. And he stands alone in his "singular greatness" there.

If you want to talk turkey, fine let's do it, but Shaq's mindest has nothing to do with him being the second best center in the league. As a Shaq fan I really believe he'll be one of Yao's biggest supporters very soon.

Didn't see the game tonight, but judging by the box score on NBA.com, don't use this game as a judgement on any players for next year. Frahm, Stro and Bogans need to play well during real games. The intensity of tonight was probably equal to a preseason game.

Stro-lovers, take a chill pill. This game doesn't mean he should start next year. Frahm? Whatever! Bogans had already shown me enough before today to keep him as a reserve next year.

This game was good for our team morale but that's all. I'm guessing the Sonics should be completely ashamed of what they put on the court today. The score was 29-10 after the 1st quarter. The game was 48 minutes of garbage time for the Rockets and 48 minutes of garbage from the Sonics. Let's enjoy it, then get it out of our system and come back to reality before the next game starts.

Wow, what a cheap way to hype up Yao, bringing up a stat from a person who just came out of injury.

Wow, a cheap way to talk down on Yao's performance tonight.. We came out with a convincing win and absolutely dominated.. Yao also had 5 assists.. he could of went for a triple double if he played the 4th quarter.

Check my post dude, half of them are in support of Yao and everyone knows that and please tell me how I talk down on Yao's performance? He played great today, but it doesn't change the fact its cheap to use an injured player's stat to make a case against someone who's playing his best basketball....its just not fair.

The "When he wants to dominate, he dominates" line wasn't meant literally. I think it was more true in the pas than it is now. But I do think that when Shaq is really into a game, he's still the best center in the game. Yao's been more consistent of late.

    WTF was that?

This was a must-lose game and as brainless as the Rockets had been all year, it's no surprise that they ended up a loser again by winning the game.

no joke.. I think OP should have listed the games since Amares "breakout" game of 20 pts. and speaking of Amare doing an outstanding 20pts coming off an injury.. from what I remember.. Yao got "player of the week" honors when he came off his.

    vs. Nets - 0 pts in 14:28 0-6
    vs. Denver 6 pts in 16:38 2-7

    Let's the transition happen smoothly.
YaoMing will be the best center. That's my belief.
Shaq is (one of) the all-time greatest center(s) in this league.
Once he was, he always is.

I hope they will have a great relationship. YaoMing respects Shaq, and Shaq reconizes Yao as his successor as the MDP.

His statistical production is far better than Bowen's. It's the best amongst our PFs. In fact, only McGrady and Yao have a higher PER on the team.

    http://www.knickerblogger.net/stats/2006/jh_Rockets.htm

If Chuck was getting Juwan's minutes, he'd be getting 10+ boards a game, including about 4 offensive rebounds a game. He'd be creating turnovers with his ability to deflect the ball. He'd be drawing fouls. In short, we'd be better.

He looked horrible. A lot of bricked shots. He has a weird two-handed release and looked to be rushing his shots.

His layup should have been a dunk.
