convienant that you dont seem to notice he had played the ENTIRE 1st quarter.

You know as well as the rest of us that Yao still has stamina problems...he cant play the entire first 18 minutes of the game like you suggest...he would be dying out there by then.

Look around.....very few NBA players will play the entire 1st and half of the 2nd without a sitdown...why in hell do you expect Yao to do it?

I'm not mad at that call on Wesley on the loose ball, if you look at it again, Wesley used his body to knock Allen out.

I'm pissed at the foul they called on Deke for the block, the furthest freak'n official made the call when both of the closer officials didn't, just some dumb ref trying to be a hero.

I'm pissed that Yao got hacked on a dunk that FOR SURE should have been a and-one play and didn't get the call, but the same ref had no problem fouling Yao out with a crap foul that went out of bounds on Yao anyways.

Boo the refs, I'm honestly growing tired of watching NBA games because of them. The crap they call and don't call is what makes NCAA basketball a lot better to watch.

Because Yao is really Superman in a Chinese disguise and we are all holding him back. :/ Don't you remember the memo that was sent out about this weeks ago ? ;)

In all seriousness, this idea is ridiculous and on another note, I cannot believe the refs called that sixth foul on him. If that is any other star player in the league that is a no call, but not Yao. Sadly, this isn't the first time this has happened this year either. The dallas game early this year was almost identical in this respect.

If you want a team lose, foul out their best player in that game. It's as simple as that. What a bunch of aholes.

    In unrelated news:

Sportsbooks in Las Vegas took a massive financial hit tonight, as three anonymous men in striped shirts placed sizable wagers on the Seattle Supersonics at approximately 2:30 CST. The men could not be reached for further comment, only stating that they were "running late for their flight to Texas."

Why cannot Yao really explode once and take a swing to the ref's direction (not hitting anyone)? Or maybe some fans should call those crooked refs a few times and knock some sense into their heads?

LOL, they weren't anonymous their names were.
Dannie Crawford , Kevin Fehr and Bennie Adams.

The league has got to do something about this refereeing. The quality of the refs has really declined. That non goaltending call in Sacramento was terrible, blatant goaltending and not one of the 3 refs saw it.

    1. Horrible officiating. Terrible. The refs stole this game from us.
    2. TMac looks hurt. Period. He does not have the explosiveness he had in Dec. It is effecting his shot and his finish.
    3. Sura being out is going to hurt our rebounding in a big way.

We were out rebounded in the 4th qtr. 13-3 last night

TMac was unable to step up in the 4th

And the ref's made sure we couldn't pull out the win.

This team will need some mental toughness and great play from Howard, Wesley, Barry, and Yao to keep going.

Yao has been playing as good as you can get. We cannot win the big games without an effective TMac.

Barry and Wesley were all solid last night. Expect Padgett and Howard to make more contributions tonight.

This from Seattle newspaper. Even James thought that Yao's last foul should be going to him instead of Yao, and he felt lucky.

If you watch the replay, it clearly shows that Yao was pushed by James before he made the move. And Yao blasted to the Chinese media that he thought he was fouled on the play.

    **************************************************

    SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER STAFF

TURNING POINT: Yao Ming was called for an offensive foul with 1:17 to play when the official said he used his right arm to hook Jerome James. Yao fouled out with 30 points, and Houston's final three possessions after he left resulted in a turnover, one made free throw and one airballed 3-point attempt by Scott Padgett. Houston outscored Seattle by 10 points when Yao was on the court; the Sonics outscored the Rockets by 12 when he was on the bench.

WHISTLE WORKS: When James heard the whistle in the fourth quarter, he feared the worst. "It thought for sure it was against me," James said. "When the referee said, 'Offensive,' I just had to tell him thank you and run down the end of the court real fast before he changed his mind."

I have been enjoying listening to Rockets games on Audio League Pass, tuning in to Jim and Gene from out of town this season....

I have never heard GP so frustrated over the game(not only the calls, but the Rockets play)

i dont know how many times Gene would call a fast break play , only to sadly announce that the Rockets couldnt execute the play down the stretch, whether it was one of at least four missed layups or an ugly turnover by Rod Strickland...

he was also criticizing the clock operators, saying that everyone in the building was "rusty"...

at one point, he asked in an innocent tone to his broadcast partner, "Are we Rusty tonight, Jim?"... I got a good laugh out of it...

and as far as the officiating goes, it truly was hard to listen to the game. Gene was saying "NOW WHAT" alot and even in the beginning of the game he said after 4 quick Seattle fouls and one Rockets foul,
"Are we gonna whistle while we work all night?"

    unfortunately, he was right...
he called the officiating crew a "bunch of rookies"

he said David Wesley was as far as the scorers table when he was called for his phantom foul, but he also said Houston HAS to hit their free throws!!

    how not sweet it was

Just find out Strickland had 5 rebounds in 13 minutes, that is not bad at all.
Barry had 0 rebounds in 25 minutes, he can't replace Sura as a starting PG.

Jerome James said after the game on the sixth foul Yao collected

"I was so happy," James said of the call. "I thought for sure it was against me. Every time I touched the ball, (Yao) was holding and grabbing. But they wouldn't let me do it on other end of the court.

    i mean....what the ****
come on now....who's holding and grabbing throughout the game
