    Good news:

T-Mac looks like he's really trying to involve his teammates. He's still a scoring threat and probably most of the reason the Rockets didn't have another collapse in the 4th.

    Bad news:

It looks to me like he's still dragging his bad leg a little.

    Alston's back to being mediocre.

    The offense looks discombobulated.

Ugly win but who's complaining? We needed this win badly.

I could of said the same thing about Yao's 30/17/4 block effort.

tmac played great today. he played team ball and only forced one shot. i think as he gets healthier, he'll still get his 20 shots but within the offense (going around picks, pick and roll, and maybe a few isos to mix it up => i.e he won't be at the top of the key a lot).

yao was dominant tonight. he carried us through 3 quarters and let tmac finished it.

scola and alston SUCKED tonight. where were brooks and landry? hell, head should have been in for alston b/c him and tmac have great chemistry.

but an expected win. should have locked it up sooner. MUST KEEP WINNING.

Yao is becoming a beast again after RA put him back into low post instead of high post more than half of the time.

Off-games for Rafer, Scola; good showings for Tmac and Landry. Everyone else was at best mediocre

When the Rockets play a team like Seattle their whole goal should be to blow it so wide open that we get to see Brooks/Landry/Scola on the floor for entire quarters while the starters sit. This crap isn't going to cut it.

Yao wasn't the one that just missed a month due to injury (which saw a number of 4th quarter collapsed, 2 of which in the past week).

I wouldn't call Yao "mediocre" in this game. If this is mediocre, boy the bar is set petty high. :)

great plays with TMac and Yao:

Tmac behind the back pass to Yao, back to Tmac for the reverse

    and on the defensive end:

double block by Yao and TMac!

    wierd game.

    TMAC is back,
Rafer is back to his low turnover but skip-to-brick mode.
Scola is back to his worst days.

Yao played a Shaq like game except those missed jumpers which he should never even try them.

Great to see Landry step up.Yao showed leadership. Scola is struggling since Tracy is back. I hope he will adjust to the change soon.

Well we got the 'W' but, execution wise not a good game but, the D came up big in the second half. I guess AB will be playing on these next 2 games and hopefully, Landry to counter Seattle and Portland's youth and quickness.

    Way too dramatic, Rockets! Whew!

If the Rockets are going to get anywhere Yao and T-Mac need to be Superman and Batman. That double block is the perfect symbol for the two superstars.

How about giving Brooks some playing time? Alston's back to middling play and frankly he looked like he was in a coma out there.

Why? Nothing he said was false. Nobody is discounting what Yao did today...he was a monster. But the 4th Quarter is where it helps having a second superstar to go to, and that's what T-Mac did. Yao carried the game for 3 1/2 quarters, but in the 4th, teams adjust to him, and start playing overly physical, which takes him out of his element. With T-Mac out there, it takes a lot of the pressure off him. So really, you need to take it outside.

Thank god we didn't need to play Head in the 4th quarter since TMac is back.
